If you watch the video, it's pretty obvious that it's Rossi's hit that kills him. Rossi pops his helmet off and nails his head. Like tricilee said, if you have ever ridden on the track you would know its completely unavoidable no matter how many times it happens. It only makes you a worse rider because you are constantly worried it'll happen again.

Motorcycles and motorcyclists aren't magic. It's not a cartoon. there is simple vehicular inertia, which is being impelled by a static weight of about twice Colin Edward's body weight, at probably about ten times the speed of any explosive muscle movement a human being is capable of making. With the gyroscopic inertia of wheels and tires it would multiply the inertial trajectory of Colin's bike by about fifty. Marco was trying too hard to save a lost cause. RIP
If you carefully look at all the mutiangle the videos and pictures of the Simoncelli crash, Colin Edwards DID NOT hit Simoncelli in a vital area, he hit him in the ass. Rossi hit Simoncelli square in the neck/head area, which killed him. Don't post if you don't know what you are talking about.
for all those who blame him for Marco , they were close , difference between them was less than 2 sec. at almost 300km/h he couldn`t have missed him even if he would have went the other way, at that speed is just the blink of an eye,although u can see clearly that he stepped on that rear break to try and do something , it was one of those stupid accidents that unfortunately took away a fantastic pilot and man. Respect for Colin and for Vale and a place in our hearts for Marco !
u guys thinkin he couldve avoided simoncelli r total fuckin idiots and have probably never ridden a bike in ur life, when somethin like that happens in front of u that fast u usually cant react fast enough.oh, by the way, who was the other racer that hit him (sarcasm) if u didnt understand
