  • cool!

  • hello i have seen you selling this kit on ebay? is there a lil piezo on the pcb or from where comes this funny sound? i might be interested in this thing if you can send me a complet kit with all components also the 2nd pcb with the tube socket on it ;) im also interested in the dialer kit. please contact me here. i will pay with paypal.

  • Yes, the spinner has a piezo buzzer which produces an audible representation of the pulses driving the dekatron. We currently only offer the kit through eBay, in a complete version which includes a tube and socket board, and in a version with just the driver board. We do not offer an unassembled kit, and the dialer video is only a demonstration of the spinner's external pulse interface.

  • thank you for the instant answer. when will the complet kit (with socket board and tube) be avaiable on ebay again?. and by the way your homepage seem to be down for 2 days now ;)

  • Our website is down because the remnants of Hurricane Ike produced 80mph winds and wiped out the power to 230,000 residents in southwest Ohio on sunday afternoon. It is now thursday and we still do not have power. We should have a unit with a tube available within the next couple weeks.

  • Dekatrons are gas-filled decimal counter tubes used in the 1940's and 1950's to perform counting and display functions in frequency counters, nuclear scalers and similar. The Model 600 spinner shown in the video is a computer-controlled universal tester capable of driving most types of dekatron.
