Yes, it is liberating to let go, but with severe body image disorders, that just doesn't happen so easily, the letting go of bad feelings towards self. Therapy can help you. The meds- are they helping at all? Can't see your body, so i can't say if you are overweight. But you're lucky to have that excellent face- really lucky. Make the most of it. My face is long (which becomes more pronounced the thinner I am) and my hair is rapidly thinning and my teeth are crowded. Your teeth can probably be fixed relatively easily.
Apart from that I am not gay but your head is good looking, around 7-8/10 I'd say.
If you'd work out you would look really good.
You should consider working out, not only because it is healthy, but I am sure it would become a passion. Once you have a good body all the women will be after you I can guarantee you that.
The point here is that you have a good base, the face. Changing the body is peace of cake if you really love working out.

I know how you feel exactly. My weight has been up and down too, and it's awful. I definitely went through an ugly phase and once you do, you never quite see things the same. But the thing to remember is, *everybody* gets ugly someday. Every single person who you envy now is gonna get to a point one day where they feel just like you. You'll be in a better position though, because you'll have done all your soul searching already and they will just be at a loss, forced to confront their ugliness.

I'm 16 and I've been obsessed with my weight since I was 4 or 5.I was underweight when I was 4,but family members kept calling me fat,then when the doctors found out I had a stomach problem,they put me on medication that were steroids and it made me gain weight.I still obsess over it.I think about it 24/7,I feel guilty,I do sometimes want to throw up and have come very close to throwing up.I constantly think about losing weight,what i'm eating and the consequences.It's emotionally draining
@xAlyAlyx I'm really sorry to hear that. I can somewhat relate because I think about food and eating and my weight all day, every day as well. I just hope that one day you can realize you can be the weight you want to be in a healthy way, through diet and exercise. Throwing up is only a temporary solution that not only doesn't last but will only damage your health further. It doesn't matter what your family thinks about your weight and the steroids weren't your fault.
