Been a long term fan of scrubs and seen most episodes millions of times, just started watching house. Is it me, or is house basically Dr Cox in a new hospital slightly more mellow + sarcastic than on scrubs? He's always arguing with his boss but can't be fired because he's the best doctor in the hospital, he hates patients, he constantly makes fun of his understudies whilst deep down wanting to help them... the comparisons are endless! Maybe house is a copy of Dr Cox, if so it's a damn good idea

I do love both shows however for completely different reasons. Despite it's comedy roots Scrubs deals with cases that could happen such as cancer, brain tumours and so on. However I love the mystery there is to House and the fact that House can pull out answers from thin air and leave you sitting there like "What...the...hell?" Cox would beat House though. I do love both TV series - but for different reasons. I'm not intending to lie, though, saying I'm not a real, nerdy fan of the House series. Hugh Laurie is a marvellous actor on so many levels, so therefore you get really intrigued by this cynical ass doctor...

While Cox is less of a great actor (I'm not saying he's bad - I'm saying he's less good) - his character is a very funny man, with more of an unselfish persona than House. Scrubs is an incredibly hilarious and entertaining show to watch

Yes, Scrubs is more realistic as House focuses more on the mystery, coming up with strange conditions every week., whilst Scrubs plays on the relationships with the characters for comic effect, with dramatic moments here and there. House's psychology runs deeper, is more realistic and in the long term pays off more than Scrubs, because in Scrubs I once saw that episode where JD comforts Cox, and he's thankful, next episode nothing changed between them. House may do the same, but he does remember

And in a confrontation between the characters I'd think the first blow will be House's, which will lead to an ongoing vendetta in the hospital of pranks, until House wins, because he doesn't care. Cox does care, although he doesn't show it. House is much more selfish. I don't think he'll actually be as bad as the Janitor, who actually is worse, like only evil 2D comedy characters can be. Scrubs can be more like the Simpsons in that regard.

Scrubs is very like real life and we can relate to everything except the hospital backround pretty much. House is less realistic and Scrubs is way funnier.

Even though both theses shows are works fiction Scrubs is more of a slice of life and House is more out there.

One thing is for sure, everything you'll see in House will probably NEVER or HARDLY ever happen while in Scrubs everything has probably happened before a number of times.

Scrubs is a highly underrated show, probably because it doesn't exploit itself stupid over impossible dramas scenario and your typical run way models.

Scrubs is a bit too childish for me, it is obvious Cox's character is only meant to be funny, and in his serious moments he is not more or less dramatic than the others in Scrubs, it's simply part of the show.House is mean in a much more sarcastic 'in the face' kind of way, the character is more intelligent, etc.
