para, todas aquellas que bailan o simplemente les gusta, Randa es un punto de partida, el mas puro estilo egipcio. Muchas hablan de Saida, pero ella fusiona, es excelente,no lo dudo. Pero para conocer la danza, bailarinas que crecen con está música son las mejores maestras, pues la aprendes espontaneamente. Cuando han visto a randa hacer un split como saida, esa es una de las diferencias entre bellydance y sus fusiones y danza árabe.

First thing Sadie is an entertainer more than a dancer she breaks down technique to wow her audience,she is best at what she does, but please don't start saying she's the BEST ...Obviously if half the audience you are performing in front of is ignorant you have to wow them with something special in Sadie's case, but here this woman is expressing herself,she's just dancing and experienced onlookers enjoy that, as you can see form the comments.

here is a demonstartion of dancing with feeling, and having some subtle, soft movements. i just viewed the fantastic, highly trained dance artist, Saida, but this is what i feel is missing in her dance. Randa is feeling the music and pouring her heart out.

I agree, I really enjoy watching Randa. I think Asi, Dina, Orit, Nour etc are all different dancers with their own styles....but, they're of the same generation--- learning from not only the same teachers, but absorbing from each other.

It's not an intentional copying, just the osmosis of dancing the same dance in the same world.

Personally, I love them all for different reasons.

But my favorite style is EGYPTIAN! I am not egyptian. I like the subtility and smoothness of their mouvments. I love the joy they show in their dance. Randa looks a little stiffer than Dina but I love watching Randa though. I bet she interacted with Asi haskal. I see many common gestures.

I dance Egyptian style, but I love playing zills and usually can do it best in Turkish style. I really enjoy the slurpy strength and creativity of ATS. I enjoy all the folk styles and struggle now with learning flamenco.

I think the joy in dancing is universal in all styles, and thats all I want in a performance.  Best efforts and happiness.

It's fun seeing how different dancers 'take' the dance and make it their own. Asi, Randa, Orit, Dina, Nour are alike and different at once.

I've noticed that Egyptian bellydance focuses on feeling the music and just going with it, whereas Turkish is more technique and following the songs to a tee! i would love to see a combination of both techniques...

from your comment I can tell you are not a dancer. Randa here is not missing one beat. She is techanically perfect. but the difference with turkish she shows more emotion and her ondulation are smoother than sharp turkish dance. Turkish dancers also dance with no facila emotion

Listen to the music and watch her body--- she's not missing a tum, tec or a toc. Her technically excellent.

IThere are a few Turkish dancers I enjoy, but they are not known for the technique, more their enthusiasm, personality and energy.

As for a mix of the two styles--- My attitude is Lebanese is kind of like that.
