It was featured as the grand finale in the 1930 film Chasing Rainbows and celebrated the end of The Great War [WW1]. In 1932 it became the Roosevelt election song. Its been in about 30 movies and been covered by many famous singers. In the current crisis I'm not aware of any song that has come along to cheer people up and give hope
