Silver is one of the best games i know. installed it and played it on difficulty... but it was hard.. died about 1000 times but finally i did it. thanks for your site it was epic to find out so much tricks and tactics. well i think i´ll try it with another character.

As for spell levels - I used different levels of different spells in order to get the best ratio of speed/mana used in this fight. Since every time you kill a robot you get full mana, it's usually best to use level 3 spells, but there are some exceptions - life magic and time magic.

i used to love this game. When ever i got to this level i would always use the orbs and magic weapons with the same abilities (fire staff, ice sword) which made things a little bit quicker

Well I beat the game on dreamcast years ago. The game was creative, and really had this deep fantasy feel to it, but it didn't look funded as much lol. I was watching the games credits on a flat blue screen. It was like "yep dreamcast is dying, get an xbox or a 360" (was new that year).

Every one, there is a Windows XP patch available in the link section of the english wikipedia page of this game... it's rapidshare, you download it, apply it...

Personnally on Vista it worked perfectly... The problems comes from the fact that the game doesn't support recent videocards, it's not related to the OS itself. The patch fixes that... so as long as you own the game... hardcore fans made this for you all, it's great I played it recently.

Oh np man ;).

Yeah me too on my old pentium 2 350 mhz 6 gig hard drive the game would always freeze when I reach the docks with the skeletons who throw bombs.

Just after I insert the CD#2, usually.

Now it is fine :D... I beaten the game and it got real hard at the end, before the boss fight with Silver.

Bah, have the patch file downloaded onto your computer, install the game (the order of the two doesn't matter), and follow the instruction of the read me file included with the patch to patch the game.

Can't help you there, seems there's none on Ebay. Perhaps try searching for 'inforgrames silver' on google, and make sure you get the PC version. :)

A few months was all I really spent learning the ins and outs of the game, but it never felt like practice because it's such fun to play.

If you check out my silver website (linked in the description text above) you'll see a 'quirks' section, which talks about a lot of the little tricks and tactics. Give it a read. ;)
