I see it this way, Gameplay can make a game great, graphics can make that gameplay much fun to play. Apart from a few more side-quests, most people want a VII remake for improved graphics from what I have seen on forums. But, thats a remake so it doesnt fully count.

Well, 7, is still a "toying" idea, like a lot of people claim, but there are a lot of small hints and information from within Square-enix, that they're making "FFVII-2" Much like X-2, but as a sequel [Or prequel, I can't remember] to FFVII. So I wouldn't rule it out, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Kingdom Hearts is an awesome game IMO and it was made by the same people that made FF VII (the FF looking chars) and i don't hear you complain about the many parts of Zelda or Mario that actually start to anoy me now... Zelda: Link walks sees monsters goes after them finds out he is the chosen one goes to 4dungeon's and fights the final boss (a lil extra bit in TP). Mario: Princess kidnapped goes after Bowser and beats him and gets the princess back...

The combat system from 10 was good enugh and the best. Until they put in ff 12 combat system. Granted the combat in 12 was so so and the graphics where good but everything else F***in sucked.

The wii isn't made for JUST interactive games, it is made for any kind of game, the makers of the game decide whether or not to use the motion controls.

No news until now but its possible, considering that square have to lines to Final Fantasy one more "adult/realistic or avanguard" with the news Final Fantasy and the final fantasy VII franchising to Playstiation consoles and other line more "childish/fantastic or more old school fantasy" with Crystal Chronicles, Chocobo Tales and Possible Final Fantasy IX to Nintendo consoles.
For me both lines are amazing, and I hope to see this remake coming out.

In my opinion Final Fantasy 7 is ruining gaming, and JRPG's as a whole, because it is dragging the production of new and innovative ideas into the bowels of unintegration. Games that were original, and beautiful like FFIX are labled as second-handed because people won't let FF7 die the death it needs...that it needed 7 years ago.
I personally like FFVII. Not because of the characters,
(I hate Cloud, and also people laugh at me when i said i wasn't sad that Aerith died) but because of the storyline, the size of it, and it's the first 3D one Square made.
My favourite Final Fantasy games are V and VI by a long shot. Many reasons. I also liked XI, but it took too long and having to get a party to do anything was tedious so i quit.
They know that if you slap a FF7 sticker to it, dumb ass fans will eat it up and smile. They don't realize that they are eating a crap sandwich in the form of a mediocre game, but they'll smile all the same cuz it has Cloud and Sephiroth in it. It is almost sickening to see a FF7 fan cling to that one game in the franchise.
Why would the make a Final Fantasy IX remake? I mean sure it has the best battle system, the best characters, and the best storyline of any Final Fantasy on the Playstation, but as you see with the comments, most of the heathens that like Final Fantasy are under the delusion that 7 is the greatest, Square ain't dumb enough to lose money.

-Square Enix is worried about PS3 going in the wrong direction...
-360 lowers their price by $100.
-Square Enix is angry at Sony, tells them to lower price, they denie.

Give it a rest! Square enix milked ff7 too much and they got to give it a rest about that. ff7, ff7(psp), the movie, crisis core, and the fake remake for the ps3. Oh and dont forget that ff7 charicters are in kingdom hearts as well. If you think about it, thats too much right there.

Kingdom Hearts is an awesome game IMO and it was made by the same people that made FF VII (the FF looking chars) and i don't hear you complain about the many parts of Zelda or Mario that actually start to anoy me now... Zelda: Link walks sees monsters goes after them finds out he is the chosen one goes to 4dungeon's and fights the final boss (a lil extra bit in TP). Mario: Princess kidnapped goes after Bowser and beats him and gets the princess back...

The combat system from 10 was good enugh and the best. Until they put in ff 12 combat system. Granted the combat in 12 was so so and the graphics where good but everything else F***in sucked.

No news until now but its possible, considering that square have to lines to Final Fantasy one more "adult/realistic or avanguard" with the news Final Fantasy and the final fantasy VII franchising to Playstiation consoles and other line more "childish/fantastic or more old school fantasy" with Crystal Chronicles, Chocobo Tales and Possible Final Fantasy IX to Nintendo consoles.
For me both lines are amazing, and I hope to see this remake coming out.

the confidence they have in the console doesnt matter too much though=o they will still probably stick with playstation cause for me they were some of the most important titles that helped sell the playstations and showed the playstation awesomeness but playing them on the wii would be just as fun:D

final fantasy 9 rocks! twas my favourite! no wait... 9 and 7 only i finished 9 and i never finished 7 (it broked on me :( ...) and anyway! wii disks dont break as easy as ps disks! and they dont skip neither! and i still think they should redo all final fantsays on the wii... that would be great! but if they at least do 9 i would be happy! not sure about the voice acting bit though... it would be some crummy accent that id know i would hate, better to image one!

In my opinion Final Fantasy 7 is ruining gaming, and JRPG's as a whole, because it is dragging the production of new and innovative ideas into the bowels of unintegration. Games that were original, and beautiful like FFIX are labled as second-handed because people won't let FF7 die the death it needs...that it needed 7 years ago.

I personally like FFVII. Not because of the characters,
(I hate Cloud, and also people laugh at me when i said i wasn't sad that Aerith died) but because of the storyline, the size of it, and it's the first 3D one Square made.
My favourite Final Fantasy games are V and VI by a long shot. Many reasons. I also liked XI, but it took too long and having to get a party to do anything was tedious so i quit.

They know that if you slap a FF7 sticker to it, dumb ass fans will eat it up and smile. They don't realize that they are eating a crap sandwich in the form of a mediocre game, but they'll smile all the same cuz it has Cloud and Sephiroth in it. It is almost sickening to see a FF7 fan cling to that one game in the franchise.

yeah... it´s been like this since the N64...,Square(Enix) making the Most KICK-ASS games for the PlayStation, one and 2, and us (Nintendo users), left aside, hope this time the story changes and once again a Final Fantasy Title appears for a Nintendo console, i don´t just WANT Final Fantasy on Wii... i DEMAND Final Fantasy on wii... even if it´s not a new story, with a remake of Final Fantasy VI would be just fine, i really liked that game
