I love The Cure...but I think the version of this by The Editors is better. This is just my opinion. I think the way they do it is creepier, and they way Tom sings it is easier to understand. I'M SORRY. IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR ME TO SAY. covers are hard to do. The band Gaslight Anthem was semi-inspired by Bruce Sprinsteen and they are great and their lead singer Brian is great, but the cover he did of "Backstreets" was awful. Go Editors! But thanks Cure for coming up with it in the first place.
