Any parents that are thinking of allowing their children to get into this program should really take a look at the problems we have in society and the reason for them. Look at history and specifically what Hitler did with the youth, its the exact same thing as this program. The last thing we need is more cops on the street writing traffic tickets, or government employees of any kind, we cant afford it ANY MORE!

@jjrglobal Hitler really? Let me tell u something, those officers out on the streets not only write tickets but protect you, and every other person on the streets good or bad. So before you pop off saying there not needed, imagine the world YOU'D live in without them. Check your self.

So you believe that police actually protect people? How could they possibly be in every place all the time. Police solve crimes, they rarely prevent them. Now they do serve as a deterrent, as does the entire judicial system, but by far the biggest deterrent is the second amendment. People protect themselves. When was the last time you heard of the cops preventing someone from burglarizing a home, or stopping a murder from taking place? So yeah, we could do with far fewer police.

@jjrglobal Without police this country would fall into shambles. Now i do agree that with the second amendment we would be fine but policing isn't all about protecting people. What about drug running. Without police stopping drug dealers, sellers and runners America would be anothr cuba. And your 'Hitler" comment was totally wrong. Hitler's youth was a military program for youth that involved racial purity, the explorers do not and will never discriminate against race or anything of that nature

I didnt say we needed no police, I said we dont need nearly as many as we have now. The drug war is the biggest failure this country has ever known and has destroyed the lives of many nonviolent good people. There is one way to win the drug war, legalize them, all of them. Do away with prohibition and just like alcohol prohibition the gangs and violence will disappear. Also I have seen these explorers groups training with military weapons conducting urban search and seizures

I am very sorry about Harvey. I am going to join the post!!!!! My dad was a police officer with the PPD for 25 years!! It sucks when one of our FOP memebers is killed, especially an explorer!!!
