yep it does come with a built-in microphone. any new asus notebook comes with a built-in mic.

Check CrunchGear News: Asus is updating its G71 gaming notebook to now include the powerhouse Intel Quad 2 Extreme CPU. The notebook still includes the same 17-inch LCD and terabyte storage option, but now includes a NVIDA GeForce 9700M GT 512 MB graphics card and the earth-shattering QX9300 Intel Quad 2 Extreme processor. Price tag will be around 3000 Euros +/-

the G70 is better in graphics and look but the Processor is not better than the G71 sigh i really want the G70 but its like 2000-3800 ASUS PLEASE LOWER THE PRICE AND BRING IT TO BEST BUY

Just been having a look around,

The M50 has a 9600M GS which has 1gb of GDDR2. But the G70S has 2 8700M GT's in SLI. Totaling 1GB of GDDR3 which scores and extra 11k points in 3DMark 06. You would be better off with the G70S if you wanted to play games and are willing to spend that much. If not the M50 is the best choice.

Also worth noting is if you are after good quality sound, Toshiba would be worth looking at as they have the Kardon speakers in them which produce amazing sound for a laptop.

The fans arent very loud under high load. It also stays quite cool.

I really like the G70 except for the fact that the graphics card could have been better. I bought mine in New Zealand as thats where i live and i havnt customized anything on it.
