  • I wonder if a ring system could sort of be considered a belt systen like the astroid belt? I know the astroid belt is too far away from the sun to be seeing as a ring around the sun though.

  • Im pretty scared by the music now cause im only 10 years old.....

  • one ring to rule them all....is it a magnet wrapped in gold? that cern thing? halo....

halos over angels heads....does this signify things to come? are we in the fourth reich since 1945?

  • Yaaay good ol'Iapetus

  • I could do without the Lord of the Rings quotes

  • This video was amazing! It combined two of my biggest nerd loves: astronomy and lord of the rings. I never imagined such a ring was possible. I learn so much from these videos especially as much of what you cover I have never seen published in any astronomy book I own. Keep up the amazing work, it's certainly appreciated

  • I really like those documentaries, but the Tolkien analogy is just ridiculous!

  • @trelokamenos Actually it isn't. Go and listen to the interview that Red Ice Radio did with some guy (I forget his name) about Stanley Kubrick. He goes into the Lord of the Rings connection ner the end. It's available on here.

  • 4:03 dumbass dont you know about the theory where if you paint a plant or possably an astorid that it will change its orbit?

  • This is a great video, and a good way of showing how science can amaze you.

  • Hi folks, i like Your informative videos. Greetings from Germany.

    "Spitzer ist Spitze"

  • i love science

  • ya ever notice how everything orbits everything? from electrons to planets, even the milkyway sharing a center of gravity with andromeda everything orbits something. hmmmmmm. something to ponder for the next ten thousand years.

  • electrons don't actually orbit the nucleus though, remember? The "Orbital" is just a probability distribution of where the electron might be.

  • lulz... if this guy called himself rob... he still be Robert ( Rob Hurt)

  • Thanks everyone for the comments, we really appreciate them. Our budget here is not huge so marketing our videos is kind of the last thing on our list of things to do, but you could all help, tweet, blog, tell your friends and family.

    Thanks!
