Just to correct you, this was the Rainbow Mothra in RoM3. In fact, there wasn't a Rainbow Mothra in RoM1 Just Normal Mothra and Mothra Leo.

Indeed. This version of Mothra is male. In fact, it's real name is Mothra Leo. He's just in Rainbow form.

Yes, Mothra Leo in the Rebirth of Mothra trilogy was male, although I think Rainbow Mothra is from Mothra 3 and might be an entirely different Mothra. I can't be sure because I've never seen the film. I have this toy and you're right it is very beautiful. Good Review, Thank You.

Mothra Leo appeared towards the end of the Rebirth 1 and most of Rebirth 2. Leo became Rainbow at the last part when little Gogo healed Leo. Rainbow was also in Rebirth 3, until the end where it became Armor Mothra and shed the armor to become Mothra Eternal. Aqua and Lightspeed designs just allow Mothra to enter those environments without creating hinderances for itself. It's all the same Mothra. :)
