I definitely agree that closeted atheists need to come out. I think the amount of atheists in the world is MUCH bigger than statistics show, id even go as far as saying double the amount, but people are afraid of rejection. We have strength in numbers and we can fight the tyrannical bullshit that's been going on. Shut these hateful religious groups up, move human civilization forward. No more fear tactics, no more stone age thinking. The world isnt as black and white as religion makes it seem.
Some parents will kick their children out of the house if they find out that they are atheists. I think that it is in everyone's own place to decide if coming out is a good idea. If they are closeted because of fear of the hate, then it is not a good reason. However if stay closeted for fear of not having a home or being abused, then you can't blame them.
