  • ahaha i never noticed Example in this video!

  • i love that example is in the video.. makes you think differently about celebrities or whoever

  • @challett3991 This song is from 2008, Example didn't really become 'popular' until his first hit song in 2009. So at that time he wasn't a celebrity ;) Don't get me wrong, I love Example, just stating that he was popular after this song hehe. And Example is a great guy nonetheless, his comments about the London riots are great.

  • Great vid!

  • listened to this 5 times over. Each time bringing more insight into the lyrics.

  • Love this. My best song at the moment.

  • Ok, the little girl represents innocence and her costume, I assume, is a reference to evolution and the song is clealry highlighting that evolution from innocent explorers and inventors to corrupt, power hungry war mongers. Hatred, prejudice and intolerance are all uniquely human traits but, as the song subtely suggests, so are love, forgiveness and compassion. Which path will you choose?

  • Great song, pretty interesting video....

  • the lyrics are fantastic, not so sure about vid though. scroobius pip is a lyrical genius..

  • This shitty video takes away from the lyrics.

  • I really like the lyrics, but I just wish that they'd at least synthesize Planet Telex a bit more since it still sounds like the original song rather than a new beat.

  • im christian and i actualy am it doesnt say any thing or do any thing offencive to god it is more or less true nuthin realy if any thin its sort of preachy

  • I saw dis on tv, my dad waz watching it wit meh, hez full on christian, and he reali liked it, he actuali agreed wit bits of it.

So all yu guys dat dont feel this song is respectful, they can shut da donkey kong turd up

  • this is the greatest :)

  • what the fuck is everyones problem with this track, lyrically its genius, the beat is shit hot & the video is representing it is only you who has the decision to be selfless or selfish. this song is a point of view not a weapon to target religion or ones character, to argue that someone elses thoughts are wrong is your choice of selfishness. music is meant to unite people and to open peoples minds, i see these comments and see people waging war with words but only thinking about their own side

  • you neeed to look at the 10 commandments this is evil how can you say it is God's fault mankind is corrupt with out god we would not be here

  • True, but if we were not here we would not be corrupt. And we are simply doing what God designed us to do, live...evil is a creation of man used to dominate other men. God is above that, remember, he's God.

  • i love this song, the lyrics are so clever and well thought out, and what an amazing video!

    makes you think, doesn't it?

  • When a parent (a good parent) Has a child and tries to teach them the right way to go, and the child rebels does thet mean that child is worthless of love or a second chance? God is our father and he wants nothing more than for us to live a blessed life and he tells us how! Do we listen and recieve thies blessings or do we think we know better and learn the hard way??

Please don't blame God for your decisions...you know what is right, now you are responsible for the outcome!

  • this is the truth! god created us with amazing intentions and our greed and selfishness our disobedience that screwed everything up! LISTEN to the Commandments, and OBEY, they are not suggestions! this world could be a better place. TRY!

  • That's all well and good but that's not really the message of the song. The message is more about not letting religious messages and practices become corrupt, and not blaming God or Allah or whatever higher power you beleive in, for all tragedies and suffering, when the majority is man made.

  • (sorry didn't quite finish that)... Rather than the moral being that we should all follow the ten commandments specifically, when this song isn't necceserally about God in the literal Jewish/Christian sense as it is about mankind in general. You shouldn't need to convert your religion to take on the meanings of thsi beautiful song :)

  • Do you know what the 10 commandments are? which ones should we omit? It's not about religion, it is about a relationship with a father that wants to teach and love us!

  • I do know what the ten commandments are, I'm a practicing Catholic. I'n not saying they're wrong, I'm just saying if Scroob wanted a song with a message of following the ten commandments he'd stand there and list them for us all to hear with some heavy breakbeats going on in the background. But he didn't. Because he's not shit. ahaha

This ISN'T a song of worship.

  • You know, I never said it was a song of worship! I was saying his words were speaking the truth. Why does this cause hate? Why is it shit? I enjoyed this song this is a comment! Why am I getting hate mail? CHILL people! If God isn't real you've got nothing to worry about!

  • Which ones should we omit? All of them, under the right circumstances.

1.. have no other gods -- nonsense

    2.. don't make idols -- nonsense

3.. use god's name in vain -- nonsense

    4.. don't work on sunday -- nonsense

5.. honor your mom & dad -- what if they're cunts?

6.. shall not kill -- how about in self-defense?

7.. adultery -- Premarital sex included? lol whatever

8.. lying -- what if nazis come looking for the jews in your basement?

    9/10.. coveting -- more nonsense

  • A few basic corrections.

Number 6 is not thou shalt not kill, it's Thou Shalt Not Murder. If it's in self defense, it's not murder.

Number 7 actually makes sense in the context of the old world. There was no birth control back then and broken homes suck for kids.

Number 8 is Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness. That doesn't mean never lie, it means no false accusations.

  • According to whom? You're forgetting that there are as many translations/groupings of the commandments as there are denominations of Christianity.

For instance, for Catholics, the *5th* is translated as "Thou shall not kill"--not "murder."

And as far as "bearing false witness," one could just as easily argue that this is a fancy way of describing any kind of lie whatsoever.

That's the trouble with the bible. It's a big jumbled mess of contradictions and archaic barbarisms.

  • Yeah, that is the trouble, fundamentalists taking the bible literally in english, for example, is stupid because they don't know all the intonations and connotations of the words in their original languages. Plus, none of it was written down until many years after any of it supposedly happened. That's why I don't put too much stock in the bible nor do I put much stock in organized religion because it makes sheep out of people.

  • Yeah totally agree. The Bible is what YOU understand it to be, not anyone elses views, just your own.

  • ahhh i could not have said it better

    thank you

  • umm if god created us and our greed and selfishness screwed everything up then god made a mistake in making us didnt he?

since he is such a nice guy after all... /sarcasm

  • -.-

So it's God's fault mankind is corrupt? Just like we should stop painting Hitler as such an evil man, after all it was his PARENTS who created him.../sarcasm.

  • do Not contradict the flanJ

  • So you must be a follower?

  • you all are, you jsut dont know it, yet.

  • profound i like it man

  • aaw, thats cute!

  • i LOVE this song and video.
