The song is a 1920s-style cover of Leonard Cohen's "I'm Your Man". Hugo also sings Bob Dylan's "The Ballad of a Thin Man" in the film, which has a lot of fun with anachronisms.

Unfortunately, it looks unlikely that The Tender Hook will not be distributed theatrically in the US. It apparently hasn't gotten the buzz its distributor had hoped for, and failed to be selected for inclusion in any international film festivals. I personally thing this might be due to Parkland Pictures' dismal marketing of the film rather than the film itself being weak--it's too early to say. Accent Films will release the film on DVD in Australia. A US DVD is possible but not yet confirmed.

I looked on the Internet and it said it's supposed to be out in theaters on September 18 in Australia....I was hoping it would come out on dvd soon :( . I don't even think this is coming out in the U.S....which sucks.

I know that certain aspects of this film are going to infuriate me as a Hugo Weaving fan, but it looks great and hopefully the script won't be as predictable as some early synopses have hinted. Love the anachronistic use of Leonard Cohen, by the way. ;)
