For anyone that has sparred hector rolled with him or had anything to do with him knows he only has one speed flat out. He trains hard, fights hard and deserves a shot at the ufc. His opponent in this vid should have done his homework and would have known what he was up against.
The boxing club I train at teaches all the newbies don't touch gloves enough said.

Hector Lombard is a joke lol he can only fight here in Australia he cant beat any other fighter then an Australian fighter plus the Australian mma events suck shit
Im not saying there should be a rematch because of the no glove tap, but IF a fighter isnt going to engage in good sportsmanship such as the glove tap he should atleast wait until the other fighter has lowered his hand before running in, Hector ended up losing this win because he was too keen ..its a NC as hector accidentaly headbutts cris on the way in, knocking him out
I'm not saying that Lombard was RIGHT for the no glove tap (actually I think he's an asshole) but he doesn't NEED to do it. Chris, being a professional fighter, should be able to react to that situation. Also, regarding the rematch, I believe its quite clear that Lombard would steamroll Brown. This was Lombard's 2nd MMA fight and Chris hasn't fought SINCE this fight (2005).
I think it wouldve been a very good fight if the rematch took place back then when cris was in top shape, don't get me wrong though, Cris may not have fought since then and I think hes in his early 40's now, but hes still a very dangerous man
Being a student at ATT, I know hector and he is actually a really nice person. Secondly, if you watch the fight again, you will see that once it was evident that Hector wast going to touch gloves, Cris dropped his hands to his waste and left them there for an extended period of time... And b/c of that, he would've gotten TKO by any decent fighter. Hector gave your boy ample time to put his set up and he didnt... Maybe Chris thought he could do a Roy Jones Jr...

Fighters are not required to do the glove tap. It is an unnecessary show of respect. There is nothing cheap about what he did.
