You're only talking about chinese ppl who cook at home themselves often in western countries because it's difficult to get pure msg like they do in China. High-class ppl in China don't cook, they eat in restaurants.

whoever says MSG is poisonous, then you really should go and learn some proper science. Please no dot follow those misleading information. If anyone says MSG is a chemical, then salt is also a chemical, it's NaCl, as long as you use the MSG produced by proper company then you are safe.

It's a debating matter whether MSG really has any negative effect on human body. But I agree with you that it is kinda cheating.

Also on a side note, for family cooking, one really doesn't need that much oil either.

MSG is not a poison like cyanide of course, but I believe it's rather a slow poison that's definitely not good for your body if you take it all the time. I try to avoid it as much as I can. Just google "msg poison" and do your own research.
