@QClegal I really doubt it. Most are out doing their own thing these days. Plus, for some reason, I understand that Pat Flynn and Bela do not get along. So, if they did, it would be for the music only, don't think they'd all hang out. Shame, these guys were the cream of the crop for new grass. John Cowan still has an incredible voice, Bela only gets better, as does Pat and Sam.

I just purchased John Cowan's New tattoo and it's a delight. I understand that he plays bass for the Doobies every now and then?. I'm also trying to watch every clip available on Youtube.

what people dont and need to realise is that bluegrass IS acoustic heavy metal. As someone who practicaly studies metal I say that this song and bluegrass as a whole share the speed, intricacy and pure technical skill that make both bluegrass and heavy metal truly great american institutions. This live version is 'raw' in a way, but after falling in love with the album version and hearing this, they're all clearly incredible musicians as well as performers. Thumbs up all around.

I remember watching this on Nashville Now. I think it was around 85. John became my vocal hero and when I moved to Nashville we became friends. He is a sweet man and I think the best singer alive!!

I got to see these guys in 1980 pretty regularly on the steps of the student center at western kentucky university , it was great I'll never forget them , they play the conoe fest every year at beach bend in bowling green ky.
