Signals are injected between two earth rods separated by 20m in the garden. This sets up a conduction current in the ground that spreads out over a considerable distance which can best be detected with a loop close to the ground connected to a tuned preamp feeding a PC running Spectran software.
Have you also used separated ground rods for receive?
