  • i dont know where you get this from dog,but as i have told you before i love you man!!

  • is this the original version?????

  • Comment removed

  • @mrengftw - Not nearly the same sound,

  • I have this sheet music

  • This is NOT, repeat NOT some rare demo version. It is from "The Old Grey Whistle Test". I have it on an old VHS tape. I've heard enough versions of this song over the last 25 years since I started collecting different versions to know the difference, especially on the final solo. If this posting had been allowed to continue after the end of the song you'd have heard Annie Nightingale saying"Tunnel of Love from Dire Straits".

  • Man, where do you get all this stuff????????!!!!

Amazing to think all these recordings are hidden away.....until now....thanks for the effort dog...

  • Sharing is caring :)

  • Tunnel of Love never gets old! How can anyone be that good at anything?

  • You are so right KEP3365!

One of the greatest songs of all time!

I don't know why Mark is that good!

He just is - let's thank God for lending Mark HIS hands... ;o)

    Greetings from Germany!

  • got nothing to do with god, god can't compare to the genius of Mark Knopfler. God should thank Mark for saying, ok, I shall try and see if life on your earth is good enough for someone as good as me.

  • I agree, geat pictures! :)

    And of course great version!

    Thanks a lot!

Once again, Dog - you are my man! ;o)

  • "Mark Knopfler has an extraordinary ability to make a Schecter Custom Stratocaster hoot and sing like angels on a Saturday night, exhausted from being good all week and needing a stiff beer."

  • who did you quote?

  • I think it was Douglas Adams, in his book "So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish". :)

  • aha, takk. (:

  • Yes, and it's believed he wrote that, listening (and referring) to "Tunnel of Love".

  • Well, he was perfectly right indeed.

  • @spirtbrat yeh great guitar - I wonder i he used the schecter in the mid eighties coz the fenders at the time were going through a bad patch - I had a japanese strat in 1986 and it sounded better than the US ones at the time

  • @cleveroonie He used Schecter because it "is a more powerful guitar", as he said in one interview.

  • thank you very much. these pictures are priceless.

  • this is my favorite song

  • You are awsome!!!!!! Dog u are my friend!!!

  • whered u get this from dude?

    awesome

  • A classic!! Thanks again for "caring."
