Why are their pews in this church?

Because it was built that way. Why does everyone seem to think pews are inherently evil? Why so much attention to the externals like pews?

These externals are often signs of what is internal. The post Vatican II Latin Church is going through this now, where external changes reflect theological changes (i.e. priests not facing east).

The Ethopian orthodox church is not in communion with the byzantine orthodox church ,we have nothing to do with them!Orthodoxy is not catholicism or protestantism, it is very important how we live and behave and not believe in some dogmas! The holy fathers exactly told us how to behave in church. You should study and read them! But there are many traditional orthodox in romania, many old calendarians...

Do you not read the holy scripture, St. Paul clearly wrote about headcovering and beside this it is an very old tradition and we are not allowed to change any tradition! The orthodox church is the heaven of earth and an Holy place so it is very important how we are dressed and behave !

Yo speak of two different things!! Of course there are national differnces in the lokal churches and thats good.But wrote about the holy canons and these canons are completly the same in all orthodox churches and this has nothing to do with middle age!

Read and study the church Fathers and the canons!!You will see that this churches are under anathema!!This churches are not of the Fathers!!We call them New Orthodox churches!They have lost so many important things!

Many people in Romanian Orthodox Church don't wear something on the head. Excuse us from getting out of Middle Eave. That doesn't make you more faithful. But I doubt in the eyes of God a brother who doubt of his brothers has a good place in the eyes of God. Furthermore all orthodox churches are national, that means they are influenced by local traditions and customs.

In Japan is an orthodox church where people take their shoes of at the entrance and salute in a Japanese fashion. That makes them unbelievers? There is also an Ethiopian orthodox church very different of other orthodox church and I assure you that they were orthodox when slaves where tribes and believed in gods. Also Romanian Orthodox Church it's much older than the Slavic one.

I am talking about facts! Are they orthodox or are they not?? If not than stopping to call yourself orthodox!!I have to say that in russian churches usually it is forbiden to waer such clothes and to sit would be a scandal!!But what are doing people outside of orthodoxy I am not interested!!Of course there are bad things in russia like in other countries!!Do you not see that they want to destroy orthodoxy ?? This is not orthodox anymore!The put chairs an pews in the Tempels!!They sit during prayer and liturgy!!Blasphemie!And look how they are dressed in church , they have no hair cover,shirts with short sleeves...There are many innovations in the rumanian church , this is what I am talking about!!
