And think about it, what kind of car would the equivalent of that amount buy in the Czech republic? I doubt they bought this Dodge from the US.

I really don't know how expensive or how cheap those rat rods are in CZ but i think you will not find a lot for sale there, so you must probably check out in a country where there are more possibilities to buy one like in germany, austria but they'd be surely more expensive although. Not a rat rod, but I have a 1972 Ford LTD that were imported. Shipping them here to Norway is only abt $1500 I think.:) I dont know if American cars were ever exported to eastern Europe(only that the red army had some trucks and stuff) but in Scandinavia there were lots of prewar American cars. Ford was assembled in Denmark,and Dodge in Norway. My guess is they got it from Denmark,thats not very far from Tsjekkia. But why not ask them? Hey, desoto39, where did you get the car from??
