Having gay sex means your going to hell yes, but doing it to save others allows you entry into heaven. "Self righteous suicide"
I do not go to church, I do not truthfully believe in the Bible, nor do I honestly except Jesus as "our savior." There are good points people have made about religion, but there are equally as many flaws as well. I do believe there is a being that may have had a hand in our creation. But what exists, must be created. Something can not always be. I could go on, but...
As a Christian myself this guy sounds pretty twisted. First you don't go to hell for having gay sex, you go for not accepting Christ's free gift of paying for your sins and turning away from sin. Christ already paid the price for literally everyone..none of us can pay for the sins of others so what he said is impossible. Second..I truly don't get the Hitler thing at all. weird. Oh and lastly, a Christians should NEVER tell others they are going to hell and laugh about it...that is sick.
Sure, he's neither belligerent nor xenophobic (for a Christian - hooray for stereotypes). Much. However, he IS judgmental, offensive and misinformed (or just plain blind) - note: "My Problem with Atheism" is a good watch.
However, I might be wrong about that last one. He might just be plain dumb. Sorry for those of you who are offended by this. (Note: I didn't even try saying "if this offends", because it almost certainly will. You guys are waaaay too touchy when it comes to your faith.) Peace.
by saying he'd be going to hell for saving the 10,000 people by having the gay sex isnt true to Christianity. any and all sins can and are forgiven, with the possible exception of rejecting the holy spirit, which is an entire argument or discussion among Christians. so he could be forgiven after the gay sex, and everyone wins! lol ..
Really? I thought fundamentalism says everyone is a sinner, that we are "sinners in the hands of an angry god." Having gay sex, to a fundamentalist, is an abominable sin.
I guess I really don't know that much about it. :_(
At the time, no. I thought he was really cool for doing the question and answer thing with coughlan666. Now, though, his recent video reveals how logically fallacious this guy is.

This is very interesting. I don't fully agree with NVP because I have no pity for the wicked. That is, the cruel and the ruthless. But it's intriguing that one would seek to empathize like that. I, on the only hand, would analyze Hitler the way a forensic psychologist analyzes a psychopath.
Note: I jokingly refer to myself as a psychopath because I'm anti-liberal and liberals regard anyone who's anti-liberal as a psychopath of demented do0m. XD
I thought fundamentalists say that gays are going to hell, like that Texan guy who picket army soldier funerals saying "fags go to hell." or something?
Are you a fundamentalist who believes that gays won't go to hell?
He's right. Salvation comes in Jesus Christ alone. The Bible says:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
The Bible says that those who do not believe in Jesus will go to Hell because they reject God's provision for their sins. Those who are in Christ will be forgiven if they repent. Those who come to Jesus will be forgiven as well.
So you're saying that, according to fundamentalists, it's still wrong to be gay, and you will go to hell unless you repent.
That still doesn't explain: "If he had gay sex to save 10,000 people he wouldn't go to hell."
If he made the decision to have gay sex, than it was right, because the motive was to save 10,000 people. The gay sex was secondary to those lives. It is still a sin, that he chose to commit.
Are you implying that regular sin is okay as long you later repent for them?
There is a difference between committing a sin and living in sin. Jesus came to save us and to free us from sin. This happens when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. This is a heartfelt commitment. Christians sin all of the time as you no doubt know. Any sin is enough to condemn a person. In fact, because we are born as fallen sinful creatures we are already condemned before God. Our sinful acts are merely an outgrowth of our fallen state. (Cont)
(Cont) Jesus came to save us from our sins and to restore us to what God originally intended. When God saves us He places His Holy Spirit in us as a deposit of our inheritance as sons. The Holy Spirit produces Christlike character. This is called sanctification. Basically God produces His character in us. This Godly character turns us away from sin. (Cont)
A true Christian may and does sin but he doesn't LIVE in sin because he CANNOT because God's Spirit will convict him of his sin and cause him to repent.
Those who claim to be Christians and sin show that they were never really converted.
Christians can sin and be forgiven but they will not live in sin. I hope that this makes sense to you. If you have any more questions let me know in a PM.
I don't want to bash you or anything, but I'd love some thinking instead statements like this.
I admire atheists who struggle to work things out cognitively, as I admire christians who struggle to work things out cognitively. I don't like reductionists, partly because it gets boring.
Support your arguments? Why do you say Jesus is the sun and his life was made up?
Jesus' "story" is almost exactly the same as the Egyptian mythological god Horus: Birth to a virgin, born on december 25th, the star in the east, 12 disciples, died and rose on the 3rd day, ect. the list goes on an on with similarities. Jesus' supposed life was stolen from an Egyptian myth.
I saw that video, too. I can't remember what it was called, but I know exactly where that came from.

My personal belief, based on what little I know about Jesus's history and human nature, is that Jesus was a real person who had a following (that would probably be called a cult today). Perhaps, in order to promote his Koreshian divinity, he took attributes from other Gods in the Mediterranean pantheon, while other attributes were added later by his pan-Roman followers (I understand Mithra's cult was big at the time). Its simply a Gladwellian outlier that his cult became global.
The Film is called Zeitgeist...in other words ("Time Ghost" in German). As a Christian, I humble myself before your compliments. I am but God's servant; I do His work. By my beliefs, I must accomplish the missions I am required (which respectfully you probably disagree with).
One note I want to point out about the gay sex question: I don't think I would necessarily go to hell for it, yet it is a sin and I must answer and be judged righteously for it. But yes, Jesus said "There is no greater love than this, than for one to lay his life down for his friends."
You mean your belief says that you won't go to hell if you have gay sex? Are you a fundamentalist, because I've always heard that "fags go to hell"?
I do disagree with you most of your opinions, but hey, I still respect what you're doing here. Keep up the great work. I like respectful dialogue much more than some of the other childish back-and-forths on youtube.
You are sadly a unique Christian in this regard; why can't more Christians engage in healthy, respectful dialogue with others?
Personally, it's a video I might make in the future towards Christians by me, a fundamentalist Christian (or at least I try to be). The whole "God hates fags" thing by Westboro Baptist Church is false. God loves the WORLD (John 3:16). That includes ALL sinners. Jesus ate with sinners, tax collectors and women, who were at the time the lowest ranked and most disrespected people. Jesus told people to repent and turn from their ways. Everyone is going to hell unless they accept God's grace.
Let me add to that about God's grace: it isn't Christian-like to intentionally sin and then ask God to forgive us for it. Jesus Christ said to us (more specifically the adulterous woman who was going to be stoned) to "sin no more!" We as Christians do NOT have an excuse to sin, and those who give Christianity a bad and/or hypocritical name, like transgender Christians or "homosexual" Christians, are being contradictory to Christ's message. Sorry for the rambling, but I hope I you get my points.
He has chosen (predetermined) his people, whom he foreknew, that they should live holy. This holiness is in obedience to God's word (orderly arrangement). Jesus learned obedience through suffering (Heb. 5:8). He is our example (I Peter 2:21). The word (logos) of God has prearranged that we will follow in his steps (II Tim. 3:12; Heb. 12:10). God did not love all the world (Kosmos). He "so" loved the orderly arrangement (world). "So" is an adverb telling how or in what fashion he loved the world.
He loved Jacob and hated Esau before they were born and before either could do any wrong. Both were twins.
Hath not the potter the power over the clay of the same lump, to make one vessel unto honour and another unto dishonour-- What if God willing to show his wrath, and make his power known, endured with much long suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction.
When translating the Bile from its original and greek the word world is Kosmos or "orderly arrangment". So when it say that God so loved the world it doesnt mean everyone that lives in the world.
God hates the proud so that right there should tell other Christians he does not love everyone. He has even went so far as to create certain men to be ordained to Hell before they are even born, the same way he makes certain men to eventually conform to the LIKENESS of Christ.
Romans 8:29 says "For whom he did foreknow did he also predestinate to conform to the image of his son". The "whoms" refers to his flock, or in other words his pre-ordainded heavenly family.
And then amazing atheist goes and trolls the fuck out of him.
