Far Cry 2 has been done Great on the PC. It is not necessary to buy a Prohardcore gamer PC to let it run playable on high settings. And the graphics are beautiful. A point where many games fail on. well,in far cry 2 u can create your own map,and play online with ur friend .its a load of fun.i have it on ps3,my cousin has it on pc and theres not a very big difference in graphics.i saw it on xbox and it was much darker and less detailed

- in one of the trailers i've seen you're speaking to the boss of the APR and he's talking about getting paid in guns, do you really get paid in guns :p

-When i bought the game i got a map with it and on the on side it said ( north part....) other side (South part...) So i'm figuring is there a second "world" you can enter besides the one you start in ?

Another problem with tropical islands is the static environment. Oblivion had the same issue. In Africa, you can find a jungle, a desert, a savannah, all within this area. On a tropical island, it's always going to be palm trees annnnd sandy beaches and the rest that goes with it. It gets very old.

i would say not for the max, but for high definitely, if you have the game crysis then realize that farcry 2 is just a little more graphically(not sure how to spell the word graphically sorry) advanced than that, that should give you a rough estimate on what to expect your system to handle on farcry 2.

the type of console doesn't really determine how good the graphics are going to be. the amount of work the developers put into the game determine the graphics detail. there has yet to be a game on one of the new consoles that maxes out the graphics. the advantage a console has is that it is only tasked with running a few (5-10) processes as opposed to 20-30 on a PC.  therefore a (reletively) small 3 core 3.2ghz is just as good as a 4 core 4ghz in a PC, without even getting into overclocking.
