  • Thank you for recording and sharing all this, it's fascinating :)

  • So many super vacs etc. I'd never even heard of. Thanks for sharing this vid.

  • wow

  • did i see a hoover encore limited editon?

  • Charlie, does your D-50 carry a serial # of D-262-019 (that is the # seen on the label applied to the main box the vacuum unit is packed in)??

  • @ClassicTVFan82 yes, it is all a matching set.

  • Whoa!!! What an amazing collection and a cool workshop. It's more like a museum. I'd pay admission to see all that!

Do you repair for a living or hobby?

  • Thx, it's purely a hobby, something to keep my mind occupied and keep me out of trouble! However, my first after-school job when I was in high school was working in a vac shop where I first saw wonderful, beautiful art deco and machine-age vacuum cleaners -- the man had a basement full of old trade-ins he had taken in over the years -- and I was hooked!

  • dude, that is so awesome! man I wanna go visit ya one of these days, it's been a long time. hmmm...maybe I could invent something and make a buncha money like that guy in "Made of Honor" that invented the "coffee colar"...then maybe I'd have enough money to come see ya! dad bought another house to restore...made in the 50's, and by some of the colors you can really tell! I'll email ya some photos

  • Hey Jace, thx for the pix -- what a great house!! Hope you're all doing well.

  • Hi Charlie,

thanks for sharing this video with all of us. That little patch of indoor-outdoor carpet you rescued and spent $2 for charity in the process finds itself in carpet heaven. I can't imagine all the different machines that will be tested on that little lucky rug. Charlie you have your work cutout for your self with all the projects lying ahead of you. I wish we all lived for another hundred years. . .

    Your friend Peter Frei

  • Hi Peter!! Good to hear from you, as always. Glad you enjoyed my video. Wish you could come to see my little Vacuum Cleaner Paradise in person! Hope all is well,
