@MGlBlaze He made a good point. The BBC is funded by a UK-wide TV license, which is essentially a tax. One of the conditions of collecting the revenue from this is that BBC have to work "in the interests of UK citizens, and only UK citizens". It's fair, considering we're the ones who fund it.

BBC have a worldwide department, called BBC Worldwide, which is commericial. The BBC itself isn't, it's our public service broadcaster. There is a very, very good reason most BBC content is geoblocked.
