@goatkiller6 actually its a very large reservoir. and in all my years of fishing, ponds and small ponds can sometimes be very tough to fish if they have seen fishing pressure.pond fish can sometimes be more skittish than any other waters. but thanks for checking out RODS IN THE DIRT . JAY

Talk about a hot bite.... looks like you were killin' em Jay! Really appreciate all the great info you presented in this video... some solid, sound advice for sure. See ya on the water Brother.....
@brendanw122 i dont fish with rubber worms ever. im not saying they arent good .i just have certain ways that i fish because my ways work. when i go fish i want to catch fish. so i stick to what ive learned over the years. i probably should try other ways sometimes but as you can see what i do works for me.
@brendanw122 I've fished Jay Van Dam's techniques with nightcrawlers and assorted plastic worms side by side. Never gotten a fish on a plastic worm, tons on nightcrawlers.
The plastics might have good scents and profiles, but they don't have the action that livebait does, and that's important.
I think that(like Jay says in this video)the fish are less likely to eat something that's pulling away. And unless you're in a boat; to give plastics action; they must be pulled away.
whats the name of the rig you are using and how are you fishing it ?

@judyjeremy no name for the rig bro, i like to use 2 small hooks tied in tandom or a very small jig head and hook tied below that.

im not trying to talk smack but it seems like the area you are fishing is a small pond so there are going to be many fish willing to bite.

nice video, if you have tried rubber worms, do you catch a similar amount, or does the live bait work better for you
