Why not praise your deity with wind instruments music. Music does not necessarily need singing. I never see a christian playing a trumpet to their god. That would take a lot more talent. In fact if they actually composed their own song that would be impressive.

Playing someone someone else's song is kinda lame.

This does happen, we used to just play hillsong through a boombox and have all sorts of instruments that ppl would play while singing and praising God. It just says make a Joyful noise unto the Lord, It doesnt matter how you do this as long as you are doing it for Him. That is what matters not who wrote it or what you are playing if anything.
