  • the buzzer pisses me off...and what's up with Ryan's mullet?

  • it funny with Colin and Ryan

  • i like the american version better but theres no censered onn british version

  • JEEVES!

  • Santa, i think we are going on strech XD

  • lol colin is the cutest velociraptor!!

  • the buzzer sounds like a fog horn.

  • While I do prefer the US version over the UK version, there wouldn't be any US version without the UK version since it came first.

Also, Colin and Ryan NEVER get old in their humor. Don't really care so much about Stephen and Josie though.

  • really colin, fergie? lol

  • Shitty ass busser on this one.

  • I would really like to see an episode with josie, tony, colin and ryan, did any of those happen?

  • @Nandaba1star and he buzzes it for soooo long :|

  • is there a reason that there is political ads on my youtube now?

  • the brittish people aren't that funny

  • Comment removed

  • USA or UK version I don't care both still make me laugh my ass off!

  • It's not the show it's the people doing it. From what I've seen, greg, wayne, and chip are funnier than all these other people I've seen on the UK version, except for the real fat guy with the mustache/beard who shows up. What's his name?

  • hahaha! colin and ryan r awesome! british people arent that funny r they?? haha

  • maN RYAN AND COLLIN WEE REALLY YOUNG HERE. BUT THOSE OTHER 2 PPL arent as good i liek wayne brady and chip esteen on the show.

  • US!!! IS!!! BEST!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  • @iluvMJandPIE Clive Anderson is a hell of a lot sexier than Drew Carey

  • LMFAO SANTA WE'RE GOING ON STRIKE

  • Heck, both the US and the British versions are way better than most of the crap on TV nowadays, so I'd be thrilled to see either of them on TV.

  • Tsk Tsk......

  • us will always rule

  • How the host awkwardly says at 0:28 to reassure the audience, "No, you're just acting," is as if he's trying to protect the integrity of this show. AWKWARD.

  • YAY COLIN! :D

  • It has been my experience that the American version will make you laugh outright more oft while the UK version will make you smile. Watching someone trip (huge guffaw) versus reading a pun (amused murmer). Not to say one version is more "intellectual" than another or of some higher caliber, although the concept originated in the UK. American version is perhaps more open and less awkward than the UK? Nicer set, the comics are more charming and laugh at themselves (seem like friends: Ryan/Colin).

  • This show cracks me up. Perhaps you Americans just don't get British humor. It is very dry.

  • Na, British humour is more witty and concieved than American humour, thereby making it better suited for prerecorded shows. American humour is more punch line based, and is perfectly suited for a show like this. While the British version is still funny, I think the American one is better for the above reason.

  • Well at least Ryan and Colin are togethr.

  • @raikis123 ikr

  • I like British humor (like Monty Python), but in the case of Whose Line is it Anyway?, the American version is a lot better.

  • Nah. There's way too much singing and less improv acting.

  • the singing IS improv

they dont write down what they're gonna sing. they just do it. and Wayne is the best at it ^^

  • @jazzymassacre I'm aware of that, but improv comedy generally isn't singing stupid songs. That is what I'm talking about since it's suppose to be a COMEDY show, not a musical.

  • @Breakfast221 Honestly, I think that Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie, Stephen Fry, Wayne Brady, Greg Proops, and Brad Sherwood would probably make the best episode of this show ever. Like, a massive, 2-hour long episode of non-stop hilarity.

  • @IronreaverVII

See, I'd put Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie, Stephen Fry, Greg Proops, Chip Esten, and Tony Slattery in.

  • @Breakfast221 oh definitly

  • They weren't that funny, compared to Colin and Ryan, then again, no one is.

That is Ironic, because the US version, is aired on a Family Network, so a few things aren't allowed. They are very flexible with that show though, and allow certain stuff :)

Just really far things, like calling someone who acted like a seal "Steven Hawking"

  • man it's great to see masters of british and american humor going at it! You can tell Ryan and Colin are really trying to bring out the big guns

  • @thedanmeister50

You know Colin isn't American, right?

  • "Uhh just when the big waves come, your surfboard goes limp."

    THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!!!!!!!

    *~evil snicker~*

  • the u.s.a whos line is soo much better with drew carrey as host

  • host is only laughing at british

    wen they are humor-less

  • whose line uk sucks the usa whose line is funny

  • dude host sucks

    british guys suck at comedy

    USA is way better

    collin and ryan rule

    :)

  • 1st off, what do you mean British guys suck at comedy? You might find this host boring but in general british comedians tend to be funnier and wittier then American ones.

2nd, Collin is Canadian, he is not American.

  • americans win

  • who was Steven at 1:29?

    Satan?

  • He's acting out a talking deer.

The prop he's using are antlers.

  • OH! DUH!

How did I not catch that!

He's supposed to be Bambi's dad.

    Oh, man.

Thanks for not like driving in my moment of stupidity with like rudeness.

For that YOU are an EPIC commenter.

    ;3

  • Thank You.

  • You're welcome.

*thinks back* Satan. . . *shakes head*

  • bambi's dad? noooo, when someone has "horns" it means he has been betraid, like... adultery by the wifes part. get it? ;)

  • Eh.

    Either way its a WIN!

  • In most mediterranean countries and certainly in latin américa, if your wife goes to bed with somebody else, she is "placing horns on your head,", so, a husband "horned" "cornudo" "Cornutti" is a fool, perhaps the worst kind, hence the saying "If you find your wife is bedding someone else and you want to jump from a cliff, remember, you have horns, not wings", that is, I think, the meaning of that gesture.

  • Oh! Thank you for explaining that. It makes a lot more sense now. :)

  • they are water noodles pool toys

  • Colins' raptor is the best dino impression ever

  • stephen fry is lovely.

  • the buzzer is scary T_T i like the other version better

  • colin and ryan seemed like they hated it there sort of akward

  • ha ha

  • You didn't laugh because you have no sense of humour. I'm sure you like Adam Sandler and other shitty humour like that.. And two of the people in this were both from North America (Colin and Ryan).

  • not to disagree with you but Colin is Canadian

  • DIIIIIIIIIICKKKK!!!

  • i was making a fucking observation, asshole

  • only one of them is british.

  • it's more the dude sitting at the desk and the overall direction

  • it is the same show as it was in amarica. not a thing diffrent

  • then maybe it's the other players

  • Santa were going on strike. XD lol

  • Colin is the BEST.

  • The Dino. Colin. Enough Said.

  • Ryan and Collin were the best in this round of props.

  • who was Stephen referring to about floss? maybe a British politician or?

  • Janet Street-Porter- big teeth...

  • ah ok...I google 'image'd her and I see what you mean, lol

  • Both version of this are amazin so everyone stop bloody fighting about it

  • @gracie1simonpeggrulz they're both awesome...but the british buzzer is kinda annoying...

  • @gracie1simonpeggrulz

That's only because it has the American and Canadian talent :p

  • Why sorry? It's the truth.

  • dan colin and ryan obviously won

  • They definitely should have found a way to get Stephen Fry on the show more often. He's always been hilarious. XD

  • Fry said in his America documentary that he doesn't consider himself good at improv. Bit hard on himself, methinks -- he's been fantastic every time he's been on Whose Line!

  • Oh I agree. The whole number of words game he would do was awesome.

  • ryan and colin won.

  • fergie!

  • santa we're going on strike!

    hilarious!

  • that host isn't very entertaining

  • Ah, the fashions of the late 80s, early 90s

  • I am ashamed to say that I prefer to watch the US version. Im a massive fan of our good old British humour, and I would do untold things to Stephen given the chance, but this sort of quasi-improv just requires the more 'zaney' characteristics of the US version. platinazb is right I think in saying that the UK version is better for the use of language, as epitomised in lovely Stephen

  • I'm practically dying of laughter.

  • Poor Janet Street-Porter!

  • Any excuse to get Colin to do the raptor walk.

  • steve is brilliant

    better than us version

most people on this are better but games are better on the us version

  • ya know its unfortunate that its has all the same games.......ooh harsh

look us version is better you can tell they have more fun there...thats why its better

  • this is kinda funny but the US version is better

  • I think the Brits are better with language than with visuals...

  • WHY didn't they do "Bow and Arrow"? :(

  • Us version is better.

  • Props to Ryan and Colin. (lol Didn't mean to use the pun . . .)

  • HAHAHAHAHA peole arguing on youtube hahaha proper losers lyk hahahaha

  • aw colin and ryan look so young compared to on the US version!

  • Just so you know, both Josie and Stephen have done lots of things besides...uh...this clip. Especially Stephen, who, as a matter of fact, I DO think is the funniest comedian alive right now. You know why? Because I've actually /watched his work/ and not based my ENTIRE judgment of him on one random clip from a show he guest starred in a few times.

...in fact, it sounds like you based your opinion of UK WL entirely on this clip too...O_o Now what's the point of that?

  • Are you serious? You clearly have no clue about comedy if you do not know Stephen Fry's other work. The man is a genius, of course we can't expect an American to understand something that doesnt involve a fart joke. Oh and the reason that the audience is quieter in England is that we are not all hyped up on sugar and lard.

  • Okay Listen up Dumbass. If it wasnt for us you wouldnt have WLIIA,coz we where the original. And yeah,Stephan Fry never lets any one down with his work,so he is the funniest guy alive, and the audience?Well,The studio was smaller. Now before I leave,I just wanna say one thing before you go judging us.Up...Yours.

  • Er, actually, no you weren't. So sit on it.

  • Why is the US better just because you make more of a row?

  • I love both versions but I will say that I think the US edges out the UK for many reasons. However the audience response shouldn't be used as any type of barometer given that the UK audience is at best 1/3 the size of the US so obviously they won't be as loud.

  • That is so funny!

  • If you'd actually pay attention to what Clive says, you'll notice the deadpan way in which he allocates points. He doesn't need to state the obvious every five minutes to the audience.

Stephen Fry and Josie Lawrence were, and still are two of the best comedy performers alive. How you can say they aren't funny is quite frankly a mystery to me.

  • im really not in the freakin mood right now, so ill say this they arent funny and the funniest man who ever lived was charlie chaplin im not against the uk i just think the 2 arent funny

  • Well you should expect some sort of resistance if you watch a video then insult the people on it, no matter what mood you're in.

  • To be fair, as Charlie Chaplan was English, saying you're not against the United Kingdom makes no sense.

And not understanding mature, deadpan is nothing to be ashamed of.

  • but charlie chaplin was from london ,uk right ? (is london in the uk ) well im not sure i no im stupid. i have nothin against people who like it its just my opinion , so i didnt think it would start a arguement sorry

  • fuck you , you dont know real comedy you probably sat in your room all day to think of that , wow you should do stand up, charlie and benny even enjoyed each others work , and i dont like this , thats my opinion ,so keep your damn comments to your self 5 year old

  • and an other thing calling people retards isnt right , there are people who struggle out in the real world and all you do id insult them , so grow up and take things alittle less argumentative ok im diabetic and struggle between pressure , i know you dont care but really come on

  • And I am a grammar nazi, and I'm not terribly ashamed of it.

  • Benny Hill is hilarious! What are you talking about?

  • Someone inform me, WHAT is funny about Benny Hill?

  • what? you can't be serious? drew carey is nowhere near the same league as stephen fry. you clearly don't have a clue what your on about.

  • i know they take it so serious that its not as funny and the points matter on here what the heck

  • There are no points. The difference is the UK version doesn't need that idiot Carey saying "the points don't matter" every five minutes.

  • drew carey is funny as crap and the uk guy (soryy i forgot his name) just sits there and takes it serious , the show is about having fun

  • Its part of his character. Hes said that ever since the show started

  • Just because they aren't behaving like frat rats on a booze cruise, doesn't mean they're overly serious.

  • Ryan is the funniest person to date on this earth :D

  • Ryan Stiles FTW!!!!

  • Colin and Ryan are my favorites!

  • I beg to differ. Clive is so sharp witted. Search for, "whose line bimbo woman". Drew would never come up with something like what Clive does here

  • Clive is not as funny as Drew.

  • I beg to differ. Clive is so sharp witted. Search for, "whose line bimbo woman". Drew would never come up with something like what Clive does here

  • stephen looks the same then as he does now!

    maybe hes doctor who...

  • "Santa, we're going on strike" lol priceless

  • stiles is a legend!

  • Ruan Stiles.

One of the funniest people i've seen

  • Santa Were Going On Strike

  • colin and ryan win

  • "Ah, just when the big waves come, your surfboard goes limp!" - I love that... of course I love Stephen, too...

  • ryan and colin are the best :D

  • Stephen is still a king among comics

  • true :)

  • I think this is the episode where Stephen Fry says fuck twice

  • yes it is. The clip is on here somewhere....

  • Yes. I think you'll be looking for "Daytime Talk Show" and it'll be there. If not, you can try my favourites.
