The car isn't that bad on gas, on a recent trip from Portland to Vancouver B.C Canada the car on the highway averaged around 18-19 MPG. That is incredible mileage for a V12 and in comfort too.

@MegaMargu you obviously dont know anything about cars because the s63 does 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and the mercedes s600 w140 does 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds at best.....However, you are correct about one thing the cls 55 amg does 60 in 4.6 and if u dnt believe me or mercedesFUN1 just get a s63 nd a 600 and race them nd ull see for yourself......Regardless of the 0-60 time you have a nice car.

Holy Crap!!! I own the same car its approximately 5.0 seconds the 0-60MPH time.

How is that even possible for a stock car. I'm pretty sure you modded your car. Are u sure your car isn't the 7.3 liter Brabus version? There is no way, a mid 90's W140 S-Class can equal the acceleration of the modern day 6.2L AMG model. Very hard to believe.

1992-1993 = 6.3 seconds.

1994-1999 = 6.6 seconds.

In this video he touched 100km/h in 5.1 seconds. It is odd, but not impossible. Courtesy to popular belief, manufacturers do not hire the best race drivers to set the best time achievable. They run the car several times down a straight and calculate the 'average' time it took to hit 100km/h.

Obviously a lot of factors need to be calculated in. Much has changed since 1992.

For example in terms of performance, today’s 'standard' tires are equivalent to race tires from 20 years ago. Today’s oils are 10x more refined then 20 years ago, so are the fuels we use.

From these alone you can shed 1 second off your time easy. Don't forget, the 0-62 figures are usually the "average" set out from all the runs they executed. Another factor to consider. :)
