@AlbertusMagnus100 barbarossa was just one of them...there were many crusader army tried to pass anatolia. Actually, the real defenders of the crusades were Turks. Even many egyptian sultan was of turkish origin. For example aybek, baybars, qutuz,. The mamluk warriors were also turks.
@Oyrad58 You seem to have missed the point of my comment, the Crusaders under Barbarossa weren't defeated in Asia, they turned back, discouraged at the death of the Kaiser. And yes, many crusader armies tried to pass through Turkish territory, many made it. The heaviest fighting was in Palestine, hands down.
@AlbertusMagnus100 many of them couldnt made it. Turks were horse archers, they used guerilla tactics against slow-huge crusader armies. they lost most of their men. just check the barbarossa's march
@Oyrad58 I see, but the Crusaders (while Frederick was still alive) smashed a Turkish army at Iconium, so its not like the Turks were simply unmatched on the battlefield. Horse archers had their weaknesses too. (An interesting side note, during Richards march to Jaffa from Acre, soldiers reported arrows striking them, but getting caught in their quilted armor, thus doing no harm. Another possible weakness to horse-borne bow-reliant armies)
@AlbertusMagnus100 smashed our army?? no its not true. barbarossa's army was HUGE. thats why Turks used guerilla (hit and run) tactics for them. and yes, some crusaders have heavy armored, but those compises perhaps only %10 of the crusader army... everybody think that all crusaders were heavy armoured kinghts. false... most of the crusaders were infantries, they were slow. thats why Turks can easily harrassed them. they lost many men while passing anatolia
@Wuanslm r u idiot or what? And half million crusader rabble massacred in anatolia between 1090-1200 ad. Even Turks still found those skeletons in the skirt of the taurus mountains. anatolia wasnt part of the byzantine u fool, but part of Seljuk empire, led by Kılıch Arslan!
@Oyrad58 Think of what you typed, thats a 110 year period, not even a fraction of those soldiers would have been Barbarossa's Germans (He started with only 100,000 men). Besides, half a million over the course of a century isn't exactly a spectacular loss of life, average for the middle ages, i'd say. Oh, and yes, western Anatolia (I prefer the old Roman designation "Asia") was still under the rule of the Eastern Roman Empire.
@Varyalover richard is hero for you?? LoL, he is fairy tale character.. Tell me what happened to barbarossa's huge german army when they passing anatolia? :) let me tell you, all of them massacred by the Seljuk Turks. 560.000 christian crusader killed by Seljuk Turks in the lands of anatolia, when they passing..
@Oyrad58 Errr what? Barbarossa's army weren't killed by turks, they dissolved by themselves after Barbarossa drowned by accident on a river, and a fraction of that army did meet up with Richard in Acre...and Anatolia was part of part of the Byzantine Empire at the time
a templar knight;"Rage and sorrow are seated in my heart..so firmly that I scarce dare to stay alive. It seems that God wishes to support the Turks to our loss...ah, lord God...alas, the realm of the East has lost so much that it will never be able to rise up again..Anyone who wishes to fight the Turks is mad, for Jesus Christ does not fight them any more. They have conquered, they will conquer. For every day they drive us down, knowing that God,who was awake, sleeps now,and Muhammad waxes powerful"
When I listen to this, I imagine Altair and a band of Assassins wandering alone through the arid wastelands of Syria outside of Masyaf, hunting down for Templars to hunt down.
@Oyrad58 You mean like that time when a severely outnumbered 400 crusader knights and a couple thousand infantry defeated Saladin and killed 23,000 of his troops at the battle of Montgisard, or that time when Richard the lionheart defeated Saladin at Arsuf. Oh sorry, my mistake, those were times when the crusaders defeated the Muslims.
@polishguy994 oww another wikipedia kid here. do you really believe this numbers?? acccording to european historians, muslims were superior number in every battle ! and according to wikipedia! only 100 crusader defeated 999999999999999 million muslims... yea right....objective history... check the Kılıch Arslan and Seljuks who defeated massacred the barbarossa's huge german army, with only 20.000 horse archer. wikipedia kid.
@Oyrad58 I didn't made any joke about it, I know that there are fools who think that those things are funny... this is the internet, a place where a 9 year old kid can ruin a great music soundtrack.
About the country, understand that a lot of people can't to pronounce the name in the same terms you can't say "España" (Spain, where I am) properly because of the "ñ", sounds... According with google, España in turkish is İspanya, which differs a lot from the original just like TÜRKÝYE and Turkey.

@gunner38ED You are right! Besides it isn't their fault. Their language works that way! Imagine that it is the only European language that doesn't have word for "Tsehia"(Tsehos"=Czechman, "Tseha"=Czechwoman in Greek, my mother language, you can imagine what means 'Tsehia" -stressed in "i") and they have to call it "Czech Republic" or "Czech lands" or "Bohemia(and Moravia)"!
@BernardtheUgly Who said that? I suppose the only thing you know about Greeks is the rival with Turks! Well except the ultranationalists no other Greek wants a war with the Turks! in fact we have many Turkish -and very popular- series in our television, I have some Turks frends on fb, and there are many cases of relatioships between the two of us!
Yet I didn't get the conection with my initial comment yet!
@Peristerygr no i realy like helenic culture and turkish to but some times i like to tink wath

You can say we are both friends and enemies in equal measures! How happen that paradox I don't know! Maybe it is that we have taught on school to hate each other on the one hand but lately we've noticed how similar we are as peoples with each other, on the other hand! Yet lately relationships involved Greek men and Turkish women became very common! We fuck them... literally hahahahaha! I am not sure what happenes with Greek women and Turkish men but I suppose it works that way also pretty often!
@BernardtheUgly Actually no! We Greeks are christians with a little yet important muslim minoritry -mainly in Thrace and some families in Crete and Rhodes- and turks are muslims! Only the Patriarchate and some old greeks are Christians in Turkey! And our languages are very different! They don't even belong to the same family: Greek is one of the Indo European isolates and Turkish are a turkic language!
@BernardtheUgly But 500 years of coexistance under Ottoman Dynasty influenced us both, and that process started even before 1453. Byzadium was very close with the muslim world and the no man's land between the two civilisations both high cultured during the middle ages created a unique culture whitch infuenced all the area and the Turks came later and finally all Balkans, Anatolia and Levante! Imagine the later Ottoman culture like Al Andalus without the Spanish Inquisition!
@BernardtheUgly Besides Alexander the Great is called "Al akbar" -the only figure in Quran is called that way except Al-ilah ("The God") Himself!!!! So we own them something for that honor!!!!!! hahahaha And that is mainly the reason why FYROM is so persistent with faking Alexander's history -to keep the muslims idle!!!
What a scary thought of a time when there was no UN or human rights, when people from far away places could go killing and raping for whatever religion as much as they damn well pleased.

I think you are searching for the "def" / "daf". It's a instrument which is used in for example religious hymns. You can search for "sufi music", where it's used very much.
@Ummahsoldjar25 No, Islam is the earliest major religion, having been founded in somewhere around 100-200 AD. And It was twisted and corrupted by a fight for power after Muhammed died.
@666TAcT666 Indeed u know many about us are U a muslim aswell?? But these days we have the greatest architecture in the known world my opinion along with our language
@KaptainKokonut It is the oldest major religion, with over one billion Muslims in the world, you really can't get much bigger than that and have a post-christ religion. And yeah, your picture of Che Guevara :P
@666TAcT666 That doesn't mean it's the "oldest major religion" though. It is currently the biggest world religion yes. Judaism, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Christianity all outnumber it by many years. (I just like the picture :P)

I think you are searching for the "def" / "daf". It's a instrument which is used in for example religious hymns. You can search for "sufi music", where it's used very much.
Cheers

It's a pity this music isn't used more in the game.

LivingGuy 2 years ago 4
That's the problem, its only used at the start of new campaign. This one is way better than most of the other Muslim campaign song.

@Ummahsoldjar25 No, Islam is the earliest major religion, having been founded in somewhere around 100-200 AD. And It was twisted and corrupted by a fight for power after Muhammed died.

@KaptainKokonut Pardon, I mean't oldest, commie. Lol.
666TAcT666 1 year ago
@666TAcT666 Yeah but it isn't the oldest. That's my point. And "commie"?
KaptainKokonut 1 year ago
@KaptainKokonut It is the oldest major religion, with over one billion Muslims in the world, you really can't get much bigger than that and have a post-christ religion. And yeah, your picture of Che Guevara :P
666TAcT666 1 year ago
@666TAcT666 That doesn't mean it's the "oldest major religion" though. It is currently the biggest world religion yes. Judaism, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Christianity all outnumber it by many years. (I just like the picture :P)
KaptainKokonut 1 year ago
@KaptainKokonut Wait! I got confused, I mean't earliest. See? What were you trying to say in the first place?
666TAcT666 1 year ago
@666TAcT666 You made out that it is the world's "earliest major religion" which I thought meant the oldest. Let's just forget this ever happened.
KaptainKokonut 1 year ago
@KaptainKokonut Ohh, right. Damn those variables and inverses! Lol
