I didn't account for the month or day because of obvious reasons dealing with differing planetary orbits and rotations but by standard Earth years, i just guessed and plus Thanksgiving is only a week away so it will be next week on Thanksgiving for me and if you want to too. Christmas should be for the death of the 2nd death star only it will be the 598,002,006th annual celebration. be fun!

This is how I want the ending to go further, since to me, the books don't count.

After celebration, Luke finds out that not all of the jedi were killed by Anakin in Revenge of the Sith, some of them managed to escape.

They hear of Luke's victory, and come to Luke and thank him for his bravery and success.

They join Luke to bring back the jedi order, and they do it successfully without any troubles.

For thousands of years, the galaxy is free of war, and the sith are extinct.

not all the jedi died, just the ones at the academy. Every person has a little force in them, some have more than others, and later Luke opens a jedi academy and trains a new generation of jedi.

The Star Wars saga ends here in Return of the Jedi, not in some crappy novel, those novels don't count in my opinion, besides, George Lucas didn't write them anyway.
