  • I enjoy your videos and look forward to meeting you in Columbia,SC.

BadKarma and the future Mrs Karma.

BTW I thought NG made most of the preppers out to be idiots. Your segment was very good and very well presented. Thank you for showing us in a positive light.

  • Great vid! Made my feel welcome even as a "new" prepper. Seems some (long time preppers) think that everyone that comes to YT since the NG Doomday show are idiots and not worth the time. I guess we are screwed double time if that is the case, because we are also new to YT and trying to learn how it works also. Lots of great advice, and the info. and welcoming/concerned atmosphere is REALLY APPRECIATED!

  • "Why do these people listen to me?" Because you offer good, sensible straight forward advice. And I thank you for that.

  • also, soap production?cleaning products (im thinking apple trees for vinegar, cider etc)

PS also just my two cents to the prepper community re basic weapons, my vote goes to the ak74 rifle and the 9mm glock, either the 17 or the 19. I do like that the AR15 can be converted to shoot 22, but the durability of the AK is invaluable.

  • Anyhoo, Ive been researching what would be the best hand powered flashlight for a prepper. I havnt found any with a lifetime warranty or good weather seals. What would you say is the best for your value, and whats top of the line? Im also looking into long term fire starting capabilities. is there a lighter that will run off of lamp oil? Do you have a way of producing some kind of lamp oil after the shift? i love your channel so much thanks!!!!

  • Hey SP1. Im new to prepping and kind of new to youtube. I dont know if this is the best way to contact you, or if there is a way to contact u through youtube that doesnt connect to a specific video. I have some questions about flashlights, fire starting and lamp oil Julian

  • im new to prepping been storing food a couple of months,im lookin for a bit of advice just on protection i live in ireland where guns are not aloud except only police and farmers have guns what would you recamend for myself to protect my family ?

  • I am in the toronto canada area any other preppers out there lets talk contact me I am 25 miles north of Toronto area

  • most important thing to survival is if your not located in a remote place away from people your wasteing your fucking time all the ammo in the world wont keep the zombies away and eventualy ull starve or be overtaken by the zombies, liven and prepping in urban citys etc ie detroit, atl etc is waste of time,,, think about it ppl who didnt prep will be looking for those who did

  • My wife and I live in the city. We'll have 10 people to care for. We're currently prepping for a depression, but not full-blown WROL (yet). One can only do so much when just starting. We have books & videos, and some necessary tools: a Berkey, vacuum sealer, Mylar bags and O2 absorbers, StoveTec, grain mill, etc. But, there is NO way to secure our house. Too much glass. And selling in this economy is easier said than done. We're doing what we can and trusting God. When possible, we'll move.

  • cool

  • Thank you for having a vast amount of common sense

  • Want some free advice? Buy ammo, lots and lots of ammo. Prepper = target. If I'm starving I'm gonna shoot you for your stuff. It's all gonna come down to that.

  • @cranston2snord Thanks for the free advise. If I take the time to prepare I also take the time to train and shoot and build up a defense that will protect my prepping supplies. Networking with other preppers is the key to surviving.

  • I'm a prepper from the North West but the rest of my family isnt.My Mom and Dad prepared for Y2K and had a year of food and water but now they just wont prep because they dont think anything will happen.I prepare for WROL/SHTF so if you could give me advice to have my family prep again it would mean alot to me.And I like the way you preped on Doomsday Preppers.

  • Could you share some thoughts on condo/high rise living/prepping options. I find it very limited, so much so that I will strive to never live in another building again. Everything is an issue, space, security, neighbors, location (inner city not suburbs). Thanks for sharing.

  • thank you for the reply. i have heated with wood before and it can suck. once agin thanks for the reply.

  • I am trying to understand the point of prepping to a level for more than a week. Because i have a pack that can sustain me and who ever is with me for as long as i need. Knowledge is powerful and light weight. The only difference is the level of comfort you can handle. I am just trying to understand the use of all that stuff.

  • @jtac1985 its not just surviving its thriving or taking care of as many people as you can. Its a life style of self reliant. I have a wood stove for heating and heat with wood I cut and split and stack. What do you heat with? I am not going to try to convince you I just share and live my life and people take from it what they want.

  • this guy makes no sense

  • @Renocasa Open your ears and your mind.. look around you at what is happening to the cost of food and fuel. The U.S. dollar is devalued and inflation is steadily rising. The debt America owes to China rises on a daily basis and the gov. can't even afford to pay off the interest.Eventually the system of fiat money that the federal reserve instituted will crash... are you prepared to not be able to feed your family or fend off those who would kill you to take what little you have?

  • @Renocasa I would ask you if you feel SP1 doesn't make sense, what DOES make sense to you? What about his message doesn't make sense to you? What would YOUR message be so that it made sense to you? I'm trying to understand you point of view. Can you explain your comment a lilttle more in depth?

  • @Renocasa he makes every kind of sense. you will be one of the ones that will not only go, but would be glad to have transportation to the FEMA camps

  • @0304angie dude, there are no fema camps, stop watching alex jones.

  • You rock SP1!! keep up the good fight, your videos are an encouragement to me, especially when I get grief from family (and sometimes the wife!). We know its gonna happen, just not when, its a matter of time.

  • Good vid posted South-Prep. No baloney, very good ideas!

  • thumbs up for talking raccoon :) (shadows)

  • Good word Southernprepper. You can tell you speak from the heart. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  • I'm surrounded by marxists and gangs. I have land in the country but no structure. No trailers allowed. I don't know WTF I'm gonna do??

  • @mocatz187 sell it and buy somewhere else.

  • Do you know MDprepper on youtube?? He is in Greenville...maybe we can meet at allens arms one day and meet.

  • Do you know anyone from Pickens,SC? Does the name Charlie Brooks sound familiar to you?

  • I'm looking for a good entry level radio. Preferably handheld. Have you discussed communication in any of your videos? Thanks

  • Hey Southernprepper1, can you possibly record and upload that prepper conference or at least your talk for those of us who can't make it? I totally agree with the secondary skills factor. I'm a programmer and if the grid went down my programming wouldn't be much good.

  • Good video , thanks for your time you put into informing us on the small things that will really matter

  • southernprepper1, in your video entitled 'Water for a natural disaster or WROL,' would you happen to know what model panels they were using? Thanks so much.

  • @teloscaylos They are Sharp panels I think those are the 240 watt ones. If not the 240 then 245 watts. Cant remember off the top of my head.

  • @southernprepper1 You briefly mentioned fuel storage.I too had issues with "safe" fuel storage.I now live in the suburbs and have to use my space wisely.I bought a CUC-V military Chevy K30 4x4 pickup and put two 103 gallon fuel transfer tanks in the bed. This allows me to have both diesel and gasoline stored safely on a mobile platform. Both tanks have individual transfer pumps wired into the converted 12VDC system on the vehicle.Tanks and pumps are lockable to avoid theft.

  • Probably one of my favorite video's of yours southernprepper1. And thanks again for putting up with my questions over the phone a couple of weeks back, you really helped me out alot.

    Thanks again,

sincerely the 20 yr old college student from Texas.

    -Solanum20

  • Quick question: it seems that if SHTF or WROL situation occurrs you have a lot of stuff at your house and or stored in other places. Which I understand, but my concerns are people move in mobs into ones location and or Martial Law etc...what if that happens? Then you get up and leave right away? What do you take or not take etc...thanks brother good info good thoughts. Airborne!

  • all i can say is wow. this is an awesome video. im recently new to prepping myself, and am trying to get my wife onboard. no luck so far. but keep up the good work man really enjoy your videos. im in indiana and the only person i have in my network is my father. so hopefully i can find more people soon!!!

  • @prepper1126 Hey friend, I can't help you with your networking problem but one of my subscribers "ThePatriotNurse" has made a video on how to allow your wife to understand WROL on her terms. I think it's a vid worth your while and she goes into detail on how to appeal to it being about your wife's/families safety and takes it in a direction that is more easily palatable. It is titled "How to Talk with Women and Newbies about Prepping". I hope you enjoy, and good on ya for prepping!

    -Solanum20

  • Good vid. Your vids are always educational. Thanks a million!!!

  • THUMBS UP

  • Well said, and thank you.

  • hey southernprepper1 enjoyed the phone call other day im looking for the radio coms we talked about cant find it .. im in berea area of greenville and trying to get my lil group to step up even more so after our talk and we are looking forward to the meet and greet

  • I live in Oconee and would love to be a part of the network in this area.

  • Who did you vote for in the primary election?

  • thanks for all the good info man really enjoy all your videos...keep the videos coming truly enjoy it

  • Good stuff man. I appreciate the time you take to do these.

  • Go self providing. Go zombie horde invasions.

  • urban setting represent!!! i will be making videos on urban survival

  • Thanks for sharing the great videos. I'm trying to get prepared and and trying to talk to others in North Jersey... also trying to get the hubby more onboard.

  • Some people just refuse to hear it. I live in Coastal SoCal and I am amazed at how many people don't have basic earthquake preps. It actually kind of worries me because if I am the only one ready then that makes me the only person people will turn to for help.

  • We watch you because you care deeply for your viewers and your country. Thank you for your service and your generosity with sharing your knowledge through these videos. Should a WROL situation happen, I bet you personally will have saved lives through the people you have helped here, and in your community!

    Thanks again!

  • @acidlittle I couldn't have said it better. Thank you southern prepper 1 we love your vids keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for this!!

  • Prepping is a lifestyle. I think George and I have been prepping since we were kids too. Growing up in the country, you grew up more self reliant.

  • Thanks Dave.

  • Do you think someone will be recording video for this event? I live in california but would love to hear what you have to say about the urban environment...

  • Perfect example, my first year for a garden was 2010 and I did awesome and everything was plentiful. BUT my 2011 garden was horrible due to inconsistent weather. So for those storing seeds, you need preparation for when your produce doesn't grow as a result of poor weather conditions.

You are doing a great thing southern prepper. Teach a man to fish and he can feed himself forever.

  • Prepping, not preposterous ...darn DROID phones....

  • I like your videos, I'm working on networking, Like you I've been a preposterous since birth, 55 years ago.. people like you convinced me to start up mt own channel. THANKS!

  • Thanks for all you do.

  • We are working hard to build a network where we are! Thank you for all of your information, it has guided us in many ways to do better.

  • @southernprepper1 Concerning the gas/fuel supply: have you explored any alternative options? (wood-gas, hydrogen fuel, etc.) I've explored them on youtube, but haven't put them into practice. I view fuel in the same category as food/water: a renewable source is required. Any thoughts on that?

  • Digging the longer hair

  • I have opsec concerns with ALL of my neighbors (in the case that I have to bug in). The vast majority are flaming liberal and antigun- period. They are sound asleep and refuse to prep as they cling to the normalcy bias. Any feelers put out render abreactions. So, because they refuse to wake up or prep giving too much away at this point is dangerous- in my situation. There are other preppers that I'm networking with (very few)- I will rely on them. Any thoughts?

  • I watched this video twice to make a long comment.

It was just so complete that I can't.

Great intel w/ a great American Spirit.

  • Anyone in INDIANA (centrally located here) that would like to communicate please send me a PM. Ex military, owned my own butcher shop and farm before joining the Army, been a Millwright the past few years, wife is an RN, sister is an RN, many many skills and resources. Interested in getting together with down to earth people who want to make the lives of their families a bit more prepared.

  • Outstanding. One of the many reasons why you are the best prepper channel on youtube is instead of jocking for some make believe "King of the YouTube Hill" or "Prepper Master" like some I can think of you get people thinking about what they should do in their own lives. There is no superiority complex with you. Thanks for all you do. Great video.

  • Hey thanks again for all of your wonderful information, you are truly a blessing to all of us out here trying to figure out how to prep properly. I am also grateful for this particular message because you brought up a good subject that I've been guilty of and that's watching too many videos and not taking more action. Yes, my family and I have done quite a bit to prep but we are still soooo far off from being ready, especially because we are urban and haven't taken the initiative or I should

  • I'm hoping I can attend in March. I agree networking is important. Ohio is small as far as the prepping community goes. Iamoneuglyguy has put a lot of effort into connecting people in Ohio. I am going to contact him and see if Ohio can bring a group of preppers to meet like minded people in other states. Thanks for all you do!

  • @resourcefulgirl try prepping in massachusetts lol

  • @bigdollars99 I do prep in Mass! Drop me a line if you want to talk about it.

  • @bigdollars99 - You are not alone. Food, water, shelter, guns, ammo, training, etc are all available in Massachusetts. Don't wait for our state and local ;leaders to get ready. . Don't wait for your liberal neighbors to get ready.

  • I can admit, I wouldn't have the full scope of knowledge on providing for myself either. BUT! I can build my little home. grow a garden. Heck, ways to defend via vegetation, sharpen a saw. The Networking you always support and push covers my shortcomings, and the ones everyone else would have. After all, if you cant do it, see if a friend can, strength in numbers.

  • David you are a gentleman and sincere soul, thank you for all of your guidance and insight on preparedness.

  • Thanks for the update David. We support you because you are a good teacher, you obviously care about & want to help others. Thank you for all of the information that you have shared. Good luck on your off grid project. God bless.

  • can't stop following your channel. it is great to have such quality videos to learn off of. the prepping community has been very welcoming and rewarding. thank you for all of the knowledge you share wit us. keep doing wat ur doin man!

  • Would love to have this conference filmed and posted for all of us who are from out of the area

  • Funny, "Christian Life Church" was the name of the church i went to when i was young.. but in SoCal...

  • Thanks for the pep talk, helps keeps us focused.

  • great vid

  • Good video Brother..Thanks as always.

  • Wish I lived in the USA, being in the UK feels kinda lonely in the prepper world, but I keep prepping for me and my family and use a hell of a lot of your advice, but adapt it for my situation. Thanks very much and God Bless.

  • Great video as always

Animal Feed has been hard for us to get ahead on

Hygene products are also item I stress to family members stop buying more ammo and food buy some soap and TP

I have a pallet of Toilet Paper But how long will that last for 13 people in group

I also would like to remind all this is time of year to buy more fresh garden seeds I keep mine in ammo cans in safe they could be worth more than gold. I also have stored lots of triple10 fertilizer sorry if this upsets organic

  • thank you.

  • I like .

  • Outstanding ,Ans to why we listen .. you tell it like it is Bro!!!

  • You better start prepping... Considering the SC state just voted for a progressive... Good luck with that...

  • please keep doing the videos! Again their are some of us who can not afford to make a trip to a prepper conference! You and many others are our Teachers! Please dont forget about the videos! Love your channel and engineer775 and many more! Keep up the great work!!

  • I sure wish I lived in your neck of the woods. Where I live there are NO like minded individuals. I have approached neighbors and friends and they all think I'm nuts.

Its somewhat embarrassing when people laugh and give me that looks that say "what's wrong with you!"

One thing to watch out for..

When telling people about YOUR prepping, they now have heads up that you have life sustaining supplies for when the SHTF.

    Where is the balance?

  • @GeriMills459 Just watch people around you. I someone is like minded they will put off clues. Then throw out some vague statements about prepping and see where it goes.

  • @GeriMills459 They borther will be the 1st ones at your door with thier hand out asking to be saved.Your not alone many people think it will never happen, but ive been to over 20 countrys and they all thought the same so Keep Doing You.If your going to talk to people about SHTF/WROL maybe trying another way about it would be better. Some people cant do blunt....Start with stuff that gets them thinkin, makes them look at things in other ways...

  • Raiding other communities for supplies, quick way for you to look down the bad end of a Gun.People will kill to protect what they have in a SHIT/WORL so if you are willing to steal then rather then Prep now,You desurve the bullet they put in you for trying to take their's...

  • @alientestosterone I agree!

  • @alientestosterone absolutely

  • what are you thoughts of raiding other communities for supplies

  • @kodybum He has said in other videos that we all need to remember the way human's are supposed to treat each other. Just because we would all be in a WROL situation doesn't change how we should help our brothers and sisters out.

  • This is one of the best sights on Youtube.

Any preppers in or around Augusta area in Georgia?

  • @TheMushroomHuntress One here in clark county actually two my fam and my brother in law.

  • @urbanstarprepper Is this Clark county as in Las Vegas?

  • @GeriMills459 clark co. Ohio

  • @Southernprepper1, Great thoughts and important points, thanks for sharing. Check out the Reuter's article today which attempts to paint preppers as paranoid nuts (labeled as sub-culture) or like the '60's hippies. The article is harsh feeding misconceptions but the responses are heartening indeed. Prepping appears to be more mainstream than I would have imagined.

  • My area has plenty of preppers. They just do not like me, lol. Great for your locals around you to know your face. Even if you are not friends, it will reduce the chances of being mis idetified as a threat.

My family has an emergency meeting location that should be rather empty if we can not meet home, but I am afraid we do not have a secondary bug out location. That will take some doing. Good thing we are all farmilar with camping in harsh locations, but I would prefer a more comforable plan.

  • David from watching you for a while I can say that you ARE one of the good guys. Keep up the good work Thanks for everything. Southern Ohio out.

  • Prepper here in Bitterroot Valley Montana.

  • Lots of stuff to think about. No matter what happens in the future being independant and learning new skills is the way to go. Not enough people get out and walk their areas. Thanks SP.

  • Looking forward to seeing you guys there!

  • Good advice as always.

    J.W

  • I look forward to meeting you at the conference. We'll be there with the Oathkeepers Organization talking about our "Operation Sleeping Giant." The push to wake up veterans to start prepping and work within their neighborhoods and veterans groups, patriot groups, to define plans for comm, helping each other, and organizing for the general welfare. See you there.

  • Federal Reserve Notes....... i liked that. good info.

  • Are preppers going to vote for Obama or what?

  • @coffeefish The crazy ones will :)

  • Great vid as always! Keep up the nice work!

  • why bugout unless your home is destroyed

  • PrepperCon sounds nice, can u perhaps make some videos of youre presentation?

  • He has some good ideas.

  • lmao it will not be good for me!!! thats no joke. love your thoughtfulness on the subject. wish i lived closer or traveled thru your area would love to stop and say hey and have a cup of coffee. i have been thru your area before if i make it that way again ill try to look you up. keep up the good work.

  • Consider getting your group associated w/ supporting Robin Sage.

"About 100 students must complete the exercise before graduating and moving on to their first Special Forces assignment.

The two-week Robin Sage exercise is held eight times a year, once for each class of SF candidates, students at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.

The other counties are Alamance, Anson, Cabarrus, Chatham, Davidson, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, Richmond, Rowan, Stanly and Union."

  • @duboism haha....Got two nefews wanting to defend "People's Republic of Pineland".lol

  • I wish I could be at prepper-con... But I'm still stuck in japan

  • Google earth is a great tool for checking the neighbourhood, some areas cant be seen on foot, ie private land, behind fences, hedges etc, worth checking.

  • know your avenues of approach and know your draws... draws are good hiding spots for a limited amount of time... draws give you good resources for a 24 hour time limit... know that taking the highland is a lot easier than taking a low land in the mind set of someone coming to get you... cut off normal roads or valleys pose problems in the area of normal movement for "them"

  • Thank s for making the video you make me think the what if's that I have faced people forget 1992 Hurricane Andrew 5 FEMA CAMPS WAS in operation for many months My son brought in a homeless family of four. Now our security totally went out the window Every one is coughing with Flu like sysdomes

  • yes yes yes

  • great vids.....I have noticed you have talked many times now about finding local preppers and I have a great idea that could help many of us since you are one of the biggest prepper channels here. could you maybe consider doing a series that use either a state name or region in the title that maybe would allow those that live in the region to shout out in the comments on general location so maybe we could start contacts by PM's with local preppers. thanks for the great info you share.

  • Keep up the great work man. I enjoy gaining knowledge from your videos!

  • great video thanks

  • do you have your ticket. '73

  • very nice..........

  • hey man i hope to make it down, also whats your thought on legal ethenol as gas sub?

  • I need some people in north east pennsylvania

  • Thank you David. This video was spoken from the heart and very much appreciated. Thank you.

  • this is a great video thank you!

  • I REALLY wish i could make it to this conference, I live all the way up in the U.P. at the top of Wis. and the border of upper Mich.

Im 24 years old an ive been prepping for over a year now and i have not found even ONE person in my local area that is into prepping or even wanting to listen to a 24 year old who talks about prepping.

I hope to move in the next 6 months or at least be looking really hard at new places in southern colorado to live. Really hope we can find prepping friends there.

  • Hey brother I always enjoy and benefit from your videos. I've tried doing a search for preppers in southern most Texas mcallen area. Anyone in your YouTube community from my area? Thanks again for sharing your wealth of knowledge.

  • My area seems dry of preppers...it's frustrating.

  • Is anyone within Maryland?.

  • Anyone here within 100 miles of Savannah G.A ?

  • hey hows is your son doing

  • Check out a software called dotnetnuke. It lets you easily manipulate web content. Great for building a web network.

  • Well said!!!!!!!! I would add try to have more than one skill under your belt.

  • @southernprepper1 What are you expecting to happen soon that you constantly stock up on things?

  • like

  • (Part 3) Or do you have any recommendations on how I could go about putting the word out because I realize I can't do it by myself? Even if I had everything imaginable it would still be impossible because you need a team to defend yourself and your property. Any guidance you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for making these very informative videos and God Bless you and you Family.

  • Unfortunately, ratings have been disabled for this video, I was wondering why it didn't have 305 likes.

  • (Part 2) I have spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $25,000 in the last 10 months and feel like I am not even close to prepared. I really need a bug out location but here on the east coast land is expensive. A few months ago I almost bought 15 acres in NE Nevada but for various reasons chose to give up that piece of property. Anyway...what do you recommend I do? I'm in Maryland....about 30 minutes from the PA line and 30 from Baltiomore City....do you know any trust worthy folks in this area?

  • @BAZYRKYR, Have you looked for land in western Md.?? I live just south of Baltimore.

  • @TexasRob28 I have looked online for land in MD, PA, VA, & West VA but everything is so pricey. The land I was going to buy in NV was $1100 per acre and it wasn't a sandbox. It was very green and close to natural water sources. If I could find land that is green and tests good for drilling a well for no more than $2000 per acre I'd be on it. The NV property was just too far away to be a "Bug Out Location" Have you seen anything and do you have interest in meeting w/ other preppers?

  • Comment removed

  • thank you

  • Just love the videos..you help/make of things that i need to do.

  • Trust that you son is doing well and on the mend!

  • I wish I could make it to your conference but I current reside on the west coast. I think you for discussing the urban prepper part. I am active duty military so I do not always have a choice where I live.

  • a few good nuggets in every vid you do and this is no exception and I'm not sure if you meant it as a joke or not but i cracked up when you said beany weeny might have gotten a glare had this been in person. Hope that conference goes well and many attend.

  • "Trying to still your last can of beanie weenies" haha Ok i must admit that made my night.

    Thanks Man!

    Reggie

  • ya im in arkansas and im really feeling alone.outside the one friend i have that wants to do it but has done nothing about it. so if you know of a place to find people in west ar please let me know thanks. i have a hard time trusting new people with this,im cautious to the questions they ask. thanks for all the videos you have been a huge help to me on the food side of things.

  • hey i´m from argentina, and i know many tricks too....

  • Thanks for the video and the thoughts. Trying to do a little each week and get more balanced. Keep sharing and learning. Least we can all do each day.

  • Prep hard this year and next If SdoesntalreadyHTF. More meaningless wars coming and it should cause a very nice spike in oil. The one man that doesn't want war is losing in the polls.

America is killing itself. Keep stacking goods and Metals :)

Check this video out "REAL REASON WHY USA & ISRAEL WILL ATTACK IRAN " its a eye opener.

  • Any eastern NC preppers out there?
