This video quality is not that great almost elongated which probably makes the rotty seem a little narrower. In reality the size of this dog is probably pretty close to the standard

People only think he isn't pure-bred because his tail isn't docked. They aren't born with docked tails they have to be cut off few days after born. Same with nearly ALL breeds of dogs with shorter than normal tails.
