  • They look nice! I am unable to twist my hair, it tangles :(

  • ur hair looks nice, but i wish mine took me 7-8 hrs, mine takes me like 12hrs i have to set aside a whole day, but what products do u use for color? i want to color my hair blonde streaks, but im afraid

  • How do you take them out? Check out Prettydimples01! She shows you how to take them out with conditioner

  • I know that this was done some time ago, but do you think the breakage could be due to the bleaching ? Nevertheless, your twists looked great.

  • Does ur hair begin to loc if u leave the twists in 2 long?

  • These look wonderful!

  • My hair does that (thick at the root and thinner going down) at the crown but its not because its breakage, its because there are new hairs growing out of that area and they are shorter. I don't know if this is the case for you, but its worth looking into. There are new hairs all over the place all the time. Your twists look LOVELY!

  • hey check out my vid...it took my nine hours to do mine.... urs is cute

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • I have 4C hair and it is 9 inches long. After a certain lenght, you are in knots territory. Do not treat you hair as if it was a 4A hair. It is normal that the ends of your twist doing that. You will break your hair if you keep combing the twists. Put some gel at the end and twirl it or you can also roller set the ends. Again, do not comb the ends while twisting. I do not recommend you style when it is wet. If you comb the hair while blow drying then it is normal you hair is breaking.

  • @Thetogette Ok wait, I'm confused. I been blow drying for two years and it got me this far with no breakage. Now I'm at a new stage with my hair. The blow drying is not working because my hair is getting longer now which means it is easy to break. So your saying don't style wet or don't style dry? Personally, I found no huge difference hair loss in styling my hair wet vs dry. Still shed around the same amount. But I know that blow drying can be stressful on the hair.

  • @mstanish1

Lol. I'm a little confused as well. I'm francophone lol. Ok. 1 st, The hair is 2 year old so it is more fragile at the tip then it used to be. 2nd, 4C is very coily so the longer the harsher the combing ( i guess you comb while blowdrying), the weaker the hair strand.

Do no style wet. You alway want your hair stretched while styling cuz shrinkage WHILE STYLING is you ennemy. Shrinkage=automatic knot at the end of the hair . Google the naturla heaven blogspot. She is a 4C.

  • @mstanish1

...''Personally, I found no huge difference hair loss in styling my hair wet vs dry. Still shed around the same amount. But I know that blow drying can be stressful on the hair.''

You have noticed the shedding while looking at the hair and you were surprised because the amount of shedding did not warn you about the danger. Sometimes it breaks little by little and you only notice when the bid damage is done.

  • @mstanish1 comb your hair only when it is wet and has conditioner or when it is dry and streched out or straight. when blowdrying use a heat protectant and lower heat. NEVER com your hair from the roots if it is not fully detangled as this will break off where there is a snag. another thing is because you have colour in your hair, it is weaker so you may want to consider a protein treatment once in a while. hope this helps

  • @ Brownfacetv I remember u said n one of your videos that u have pcos. One of the symptoms for pcos is similar to male pattern baldness. I too am natural and have had some breakage in my crown area. Just a thought that may be the cause. I think it's caused ny hormonal imbalances. Both of u ladies are awesome and I love your videos so keep them coming!

  • cute twist!

  • Your twists are FAB!! i just put some in myself, but I didn't do them this small. I'm learning that my hair doesn't like small twists (tangles, knots and locs!). I'm experiencing some breakage too along my crown?? Not sure what that's about. I may need to get on my GPB protein treatments again.

  • @BrownFaceTV To avoid knots I strategically take them down. First I moisturize then I take down starting from the bottom. With the mini twists I learned the hard way that you just cant pull your finger straight through them. I had to cut knots out of my hair because I tried to rush and take down my mini twists.

  • Beautiful hair.

  • looks really good tho

  • looks really nice tho

  • 7-8 hrs thats a long time---always takes me 4 at most

  • @brennaomi I was watched two movies when I was doing these twists. I'm thinking that was the hold up. Lol. I kept stopping and eating also...

  • My hair grows slow at the top of my head(i guess the crown) and the front and the fact that i have color has made it worse, color could be part of the reason for you too, the hair at the root is new and not colored so its not damaged but the older colored hair is always going to be more delicate, i wont be coloring my hair again any time soon.

  • i m going through the same thing right now and i plan to try pure garlic and molasses to see if it stops the breakage and the shedding

i ll post a vid if it works

  • Ooh .. I hope you did not do the twists dry. That will definitely cause breakage. By the way, the twists look beautiful. I think for most individuals, the crown tends to be more sensative and prone to breakage. For me, I spritz with water/conditioner mix before manipulating my hair. This makes detangling easier and decreases breakage. I use rosemary/tea tree/castor oil mix to massage the scalp.

  • @curliefro Nope! I did my twists wet and they actually came out better. Doing them wet made them fuller and have more movement.

  • I am tranistioning...now for 8 months...i am having the same issue with breakage in the top. My scalp actually feels different in this area. So i brought some shampoo to and massage it in that area..It not helping as much as i hoped...i may have to go to the doctor...I love your twists! so cute. I also have mines twisted. B/C of the permed ends, i rolled them up with perm rods. it turned out cute. I call it a twist and curl... Thanks for the videos. they really help to insprie me.

  • love it!!!

  • gorgeous twists

  • Dang that is so pretty. Those look like real kinky twists. I love them girl. I always love all you hairstyles. Girl you know you can rock your natural hair well.

  • Oh and I notice that the hair in my crown tends to break more when I'm stressed. I can also tell because that area gets really itchy when I dont use the Sulfur 8.

  • I have always had the same issue at my crown even with a relaxer. No matter what I do that area grows slower and thinner and breaks off. My mom said that it was that way since I was a baby and the Dr told her I had some type of dermal condition, which I don't remember. Anyway she told me she used to use Sulfur 8 in my crown and that kept my scalp healthy and the hair growing. Since Ive been natural Ive been using it and it works. I know it has mineral oil but I dont use a lot. hth

  • @HairLikeMyDaddy I been so stressed with classes and tests until I'm amazed that I even have hair on my head. And I forgot to mention it but the crown of my head is always tender. It kinda hurts to comb that area...

  • @mstanish1 I have the same problem...That part of my head is tender as well and I tend to neglect it more because I dont want to feel it...which is very bad!

  • @HairLikeMyDaddy I have crown breakage problems too. I will try Sulfur 8. Thank you for that.
