  • DKC ranked #2 in Time Magazine's top products of 1994 (#1 was the Chrysler Neon). The commercial was so true, showing that you don't need to add expensive hardware to your system to play it, you just needed the SNES itself. I'm happy to say that I pre-ordered it back then.

  • NOT on cd-rom.

    Uh,thats not a good thing.

  • @randomguy10999 I agree ( in a way). BUT, at the time, Sega CD cost 240 dollars. And, it was only an add-on which required The Sega Genesis. At the time, both the Super Nintendo & The Genesis cost 150 dollars each. So, if you wanted the Sega CD system, it would cost 240 + 150 = 390 dollars. That was alot of money.

  • @randomguy10999 that's a bad thing I honestly want games to go back to cartridges

  • @davemurrayrocks Yes. You are so right. The cartridges were great.

  • This isn't the first ad.

  • This commercial takes me back to the 10th grade!

  • Donkey Kong Country were some of the best classic games I ever played. Retro gaming 4EVER!

  • "The First Fully Rendered Game EVER"

lol, pretty funny stuff since the game was pre-rendered.

I believe the first fully rendered game was Virtua Fighter, but I could be wrong.

  • @VigorousjammerX Sorry for replying to an 8 month old comment, but Virtua Fighter was not rendered, it DID render. It was actually 3D. But it wasn't even close to being the first 3D game. DK was indeed the first fully rendered game.

  • Nintendo is what Genesisn't.

  • @uknownada years ago, there was an advertisement saying "Genesis does what nintendon't". And, One person wrote a letter against Sega. And that's exactly what he said. "Nintendo is what Genesisn't.

  • Really? I never knew that! I just heard it and I thought it sounded cool.

The first time ever that I've actually liked what fanboys have done...

  • @TheGameLord7 I disagree.....Genesis is better than Snes. It just has that nostalgic feel, and the games are very unique.

  • @123doomdoom Yes. Genesis was my system of choice, too. Not for graphics, but because Sega had more Action games.

  • @TheGameLord7 I think Nintendo was at it's pro style. SEGA was too, but if I had to pick which is not doing good, i'd say..........SONY!!!!!!!
