  • Just inspirational... Change a life one person at a time..

  • read your comment this is not about network marketing, which is illegal in Australia. It is about giving while you are not expecting anything in return.

  • Who would not love and appreciate you good work? Way to show the rest of us!

  • Wait, MLM is a huge pay-it back system!

  • hi everybody!does anyone knows something about paydotcom? is it very similar to the clikbank??

  • You're twisting the concept of a great movie for your own personal gain. The movie is about giving - freely - no compensation, or personal gain involved. Shame on you.

  • This is what ViSalus is ALL ABOUT! Paying it forward and working as a TEAM to help people get healthy and achieve their goals! The ViLife-com

  • Anyone whose interested in joining a mlm or home based buisness can check out the global information network. I am a member and the benefits of membership are just fantastic. Our organization gives out the most payout commissions and we have a teriffic product. Use the sponser Code Josh0425 if your interested. There are hard times ahead of us and that is why getting in any home based businsess is going to get you income even why the economy is going under.

  • it is a good idea but it dont happen that way and the onley people that make money is the compeny and the ceo and a few people at the top and their is liying and cheting and stealing

  • You only attach value to money, it has no intrinsic value, it does not exist from it's own side.

Why do people have this notion that an exterior condition will be a source of happiness such as making money ? show me where you hide the happiness in your money . I can see how the idea of having more might bring a reduction in suffering, but money lives on competition, and that means some one loses out , might not be you so I guess it doesn't matter !

  • i think those of you who think its bad to connect this movie with a marketing team don't see the big picture. Helping a single mom achieve financial freedom so that she can raise her kids and NOT work 2+ jobs so that she can provide for them and raise her own kids and pay someone else to(daycare) or helping a family man achieve financial freedoom so that if he gets in a car accident and dies his family will still be taken care and checks sent to them NO company does that besides a marketing team

  • @ryanlogan I think the big issue here is that Kevin Spacey did not have network marketing in mind in this movie!!! It is a matter of opinion whether or not network marketing is paying it forward. This video implies that Kevin supports network marketing!!!

  • Paying It Forward - a great analogy on how the numbers work when a kind gesture gets passed forward of three sharing it with three; but in order for success in network marketing time and successful duplication must also occur. It took me a little time to understand this - thank you for sharing!

  • While you are in school, make sure you get the information. What you think about it,that`s up to you. What you are going to do with it,that will soon be up to you.But while you are there, make sure you get it.In fact,my advice is-Don`t leave school without it!

  • I Agree with thnksmarter. The Pay it Forward theory goes beyond just helping people in business, but to do something no one else has done "believe in them from the heart" Thanks for reminding me about this.

  • I think you would have 100% thumbs up if you didn't entitle this as a relation to network marketing. Great vid! Motivating.

  • If you understand the basic network marketing business model, the concept in action in this movie is different from a legitimate network marketing structure. The movie trailer refers to "paying forward and with no expectation of returns" which is the opposite of network marketing because we build it for profit. This is not an explanation of network marketing.

  • The fact is that this video is not about network marketing.

The nonprofit Consumer Awareness Institute analyzed available data published by the MLM companies themselves. Of the companies surveyed, they reported the least successful was Amway/Quixtar where 99.99% of distributors lose money, and the most successful was Herbalife, where 99.42% of distributors lose money.

  • i can't vouch for anyone's Network marketing business. I run my business like a business. What I can't stand is when people join a network marketing bushiness, thinking it's a get rich quick business, It's not, It's a business and should be conducted as such. What I hate is when someone signs on to my business and thinks they don't have to work. Success is no accident and the same hold true for a network marketing company.

  • This is my last response, because it's pretty obvious that I can't get through to you. Network marketing is a marketing strategy, period. A way to market a product and sometimes a business.. Yes I am a small business as my taxes says I am. Which is the absolute truth and yes I do by products, I shop from my own business, why should I give my money to other companies whose products are inferior to my own. My network marketing franchise of choice, is Arbonne.

  • @Liahe42 Your taxes may say you're a small business but the IRS will not, especially if you try and claim losses. You can call yourself whatever you want to when dealing the IRS, but I wouldn't recommend it. Please take care.

  • "ask your "upline" if they would be willing to accept goodwill and a feeling of grace for their cut. Let us know what they say to that."

I hope they don't, they need to make money too, just like everyone else. Now try this, ask a humble compassionate public servant who actually claim not to care about money if they would be willing to accept goodwill and a feeling of grace for their cut. Let us know what they say to that.

  • It is the intention that is important. Look at some of the comments!! The first opportunity they have they want to sell y something. That is not paying forward.

Finding someone that is willing to work and team up with u, and helping them achieve their goals.... That's paying it forward!

  • As the old cliche goes-"work smarter, not harder."

We can only be in one place at a time, there are only so many hours in the day.

Network Marketing allows us to extend the reach of our business, or leverage as commonly called. Conducting business this way is conducting business at a far faster rate than working by the hour, the results can be potentially phenominal.

  • Hey Kathy when I can help someone get out of debt, or a single mother put food on her table because I taught and shared this amazing business with her, or give someone a sense of ownership they would never feel in a job they've been slaving in. I am already accepting and receiving an unbelievable feeling of Grace and goodwill. The only successful people in Network marketing are the ones who understand and duplicate exactly what this video talks about, which is paying it forward.

  • @kathy90 Maybe I'm missing something please explain? How else do you help someone get out of a problem, if not offering a solution. Not a temporary solution but one that they can utilize over and over again. Let's be clear first that you understand what network marketing is.

  • Comment removed

  • @kathy90 It's obvious that you've had a negative experience, I'm sorry that happened to you. I've dated men who were horrific and then I've dated really great men. Doesn't mean that they're all bad, just some of them. Same for all things in life. I've studied this business, been in it for 3 years. I work with a great company I get exactly what this business promises a supplement to my income.

  • @kathy90 BTW, I mentor and coach folks for free, which is the same thing I do in my network marketing business. The point of being an entrepreneur is to make money, grow my business and help others. Again sorry you had a bad experience.

  • Help enough people get what they want and you will have what you want!

  • Months ago, I did get the chance to watch the movie. It was pretty alright.

  • Beware that FHTM has just recently been slammed with a 2nd class-action lawsuit in California on 12/22/10 claiming pyramid scheme, fraud and deceit.

  • good video. I'm in a business now that combines affiliate program with MLM...so they pay 50% in commissions. They've been around 11 years...I'm with them 4 months. My brother has been with them 1 year. Have you heard of this company? see my channel for details.

  • Anyone care to do the "real" math of this concept when applied to a buiness? Exactly how many levels in the pyramide does it take until a person makes close to zero on all sales? Handing over 10% to upline after upline can certainly add up.

  • @MegaAvalonn think about it this way: even in a regular NON MLM company, what happens when the company has sold it's product to every person in the world? Everybody has it...there is nobody left to sell to...you either find a new product or improve the current one. No difference in MLM.

  • @MegaAvalonn ..you have a very valid question. But what if there's an opportunity that will allow you to make money when you and your friends pay bills on essential services like; electricity and gas, phones (both wireless and digital), satellite TV, internet, home security. These are bills that you can not pay off that you have to pay month after month. And there is such an opportunity.

  • @MegaAvalonn Who adds 10% to upline? all companies have a different compensation. Fortune has the most brilliant compensation plan of all! And the best!

  • @MegaAvalonn I have to call your expertise into question on this one. Do you know how network marketing works? There's a diff. between a Pyramid Scheme and Network Marketing. In a P.S. you make money off recruiting people, then telling them to go out and do the same. Thats the scam. Network Marketing is not a Pyramid Scheme. In N.M. you make money by selling a product or service. I found a company that pays you for saving people money on something they already buy: ELECTRICITY.

  • @MegaAvalonn You obviously don't understand how it works or you wouldn't have asked that question.

  • With The Trump Network, its just 3 in to clear 0 (except for the taxes and shipping of my products)

  • Pay it foward is like seeing the Universe as an Infinite supply for everyone. there is no need to compete, just create and help each ohters.

    Alain

  • How dare you compare the pyramid of helping people to the pyramid of recruiting exploiting friends and family for money.

  • @sbohandley Exploiting? How is offering people the opportunity to better their lives and the lives of those they care for exploiting? If Amway exploited people they wouldn't have been in business for 60 yrs. Same with Herbalife, Avon, Mary Kay, or PrePaid Legal among many others. Have MLM companies exploited people? Of course. Are there regular companies who have exploited people? Same answer. 95% of people fail in MLM. 95% of all business fails. What's the difference?

  • @dancer6971 Though many businesses fail, it is no where near the level of MLM dropouts. The thing about MLM is that it is in a state of perpetual collapse. The industry has no higher percentage of the market share than it did 35 years ago. Those that are recruited simply replace the dropouts, rather than.expand their market. In MLM there is no territorial protection. Joining a MLM is like going to work at a car dealership, and there is a salesman beside every car in the lot.

  • @sbohandley a person does not have to recruit anyone to make any money, if there is a viable product to sell, then they can focus on sales..as far as startin a traditional business..most fail in the first 5 years, and those that make it typically fail after the first 10..every business comes with inherent risks..just because people join an mlm by no way means they ever work the business..some mlms may be a bit shady.but there are some legit ones..never a good idea to genralize

  • @carsonc29 In a true direct sales company most of the commission goes to the seller, NOT the upline. Here You can make money by selling just the product. But, if you are talking about MLM/Network Marketing than you have to recruit to make money. Why? Because the commission level is in only single digits and advancement in the company is only possible through recruitment. Besides, MLM products are over priced because of a bloated upline.. You need to force recruits to buy products in MLM.

  • I think Network marketing gets a bad wrap, does your boss share his exclusive bonus with you or even tell you about it? How many business owners split their profit equally between all the employees. The whole world revolves around people earning from other people that is how commerce works. Yes of course an upline gets a cut from the people they introduce otherwise why would they bother, the point is whether the split is fair?

  • Gotta have an AGD! ATTENTION GETTING DEVICE!

  • Yes, change is scary, and most make excuses instead of making money, i.e. they will not go through the trials and tribulations required to get to the point where they are getting actual results from their efforts. Again, if it was easy, everybody would be doing Network Marketing. Plus network marketing aside....90% of new businesses fail within the first five years regardless of industry, so what's the difference? You don't lose your A** if you quit a networking Co. harrybusiness

  • Network Marketing is for people who are not afraid to change.

As they say, "Some are afraid to lose, so they change, and others are so afraid to change, they lose!"

Everyone in this blog is obviously looking for something better from life... something they've never had. And if you want something you've never had you need to DO something you've never done.

I hope that makes sense to you, knowing "common sense" is also non-existent these days. Think what you want but we MLMers will win at the end

  • @robertinhousa VERY good points!!!!

  • @robertinhousa you're amazing, I love your words, we network marketers will rule this world :).

  • 68 people have lost their money to lies.

  • Network Marketing is the exact opposite of this. You people are morons, or simply greedy...probably both.

  • You have better chance to make money by putting your money on a roulette table than by investing in a MLM

  • Sweet, when are these Monavie dorks gonna give me a Jag for no reason?

  • 0:45 That diagram the kid drew is an interesting explanation of MLM "businesses". The shape is familiar to me , a Pyramid perhaps?

  • @BigWorm242 It's not a pyramid, it's a TRIFORCE.

  • Hey network marketers, ask your "upline" if they would be willing to accept goodwill and a feeling of grace for their cut. Let us know what they say to that.

  • @kathy90

The great thing about network marketing is that you get to have goodwill and a feeling of grace oh yeah and money. At your job you only get money. We all know if you did not get paid to go to your job you would not be there.

    Pay it forward

  • Comment removed

  • @kathy90 , I am a network marketer and have been for the past 6 years. I was a home designer before that, which the economy took that away from me after being in building for 30 years. I have and will help many people make money in this industry you so dislike. The business I am in requires me to help others before I make anything. How is this wrong in you eyes? If you have something that can help people, at a time when people are needing help the most, would you please give us your ideas!!

  • @kathy90 Ask your boss the same thing!

  • @kathy90 My downline doesn't pay me any money either. The company does. I don't know what you do for a living, but if you work in any type of sales, your boss is making money of your work.

  • Nowhere in this movie does a higher up get a cut from everybody else's "paying it forward". What the hell is wrong with you people?

  • @nixnihil

    Some "Get it"

    Most "Don't"

  • @nixnihil Did you NOT see that the kid's mom got a working car from it??? Did you NOT see that improving the lives of others around him actually improved his? Are you blind? PLEASE! IF you want to see an example of the "higher up" not taking a cut, check out USANA (theresahartman(dot)usana(dot)com).

  • @nixnihil , you dumb fuck, what do you think a job is about, is that not what your boss does?? u people??

  • @nixnihil

Sorry but in good MLM the "higher up" does not get a cut of "everybody else's paying it forward", people get what they work for, the COMPANY pays a bonus for whoever started that marketing. For their vision, for their work. Who is "paying it forward" is getting 100% of what they work for.

  • @tramas2 There is no "good" MLM.

  • @kathy90 just because you failed at making successful business doesn't mean everyone else will. Failure is a reality of business. So many start-ups fail and you don't go around saying there is no "good" business. There is a reason why the law in so many countries accept Network Marketing companies that have legitimate products.

  • @nixnihil What about you friend? Are you paying it forward?

  • THIS is what network marketing is all about!! People helping people. We all know the job market doesn't work! Open your heart and don't allow fear to make your decisions! Go for it - change your life.

  • @kallen9491 This is exactly what network marketing ISN'T. How are you helping people by siphoning off the income of those under you? Warping the brains of greedy people easily manipulated and brainwashed in these economic times is reprehensible and you should be ashamed of yourself. Stop hurting people in the name of the almighty dollar. Platitudes (no, that isn't a platypus crossed with a dude) like "we all know the job market doesn't work" only works on those who cannot think for themselves.

  • @porkfat I'm not sure that this is a good example of network marketing but you are bashing something you obviously don't know much about. There's a reason that Network Marketing is legal and with a legitimate company you help others to start a business that would otherwise have been impossible for them to do on their own, they get to enjoy the same products and learn the hard reality of business with very little investment.

  • I love the concept of pay it forward. Follow it and make the world a better place. Cash gifting if done correctly and legally is also the best way to follow the laws of abundance.

  • too bad there's a fake version of this going around. Making it receive a bad name.

  • Amazing videos comes from amazing people!!!! This video is amazing!!! To see related amazing videos watch my videos (",)

  • Thanks for posting this:) Indeed..it does work!

  • This is a cool video and Kevin Spacey is a good actor.

    Awesome.

    WOW

  • The Perfect Business Opportunity! :)

  • This should be part of every MLM training, i think most people who are in MLM don't understand yet the "paying forward". I understand it a bit better everytime i watch it.

  • This is the system I use for my Modern Network Marketing Opportunity. It works for any opportunity and is very easy to pass down to your people. If you have a great opportunity feel free to tell me about it, if you are looking also leave a message. I have a great system to share regardless!

  • Inspiring movie. Interesting application to network marketing. I disagree with wf192. There IS a connection to MLM in the sense that a network can become very big (and thus very profitable) and powerful when someone utilizes the concepts the way they are supposed to work in a retail environment. I recently published a book on this subject (first few chapters free through my site) which shows both the BAD and GOOD sides of MLM. Yes, there IS a good side! :-)

  • Comment removed

  • This movie has a powerful message but it has nothing to do with MLM unless you count the pyramid picture.

If you are an MLMer and truly believe in pay it forward then the next 3 people you try to convince to join you, you will pay their fees for them and setup their business including blogs, mailouts, adwords, everything they need without them having to pay lots of money.

Even then you aren't really paying it forward because you benefit. This would really be smart business instead. Not silly eh?

  • @wealthfinder192 That would not be paying it forward, your suggestions means you are stealing their opportunity to learn. You showing them the business, you helping them (not paying the fees, and setting up everything - how could they teach that if they have not done it themselves?) is the gift.

  • Comment removed

  • @chocolatesrgood4you Ok then you would teach them for free without any payback. They would learn the business and be able to make an educated decision before spending their money on... well you get the idea. Even thats not paying it forward. To pay it forward is to give to someone whatever you feel they may need (Education is fine) Then not expecting anything in return.

The idea that this movie has anything to do with MLM is the problem.

Giving without the expectation of return.

  • I never even knew about this movie. The trailer was so touching! What if we all pay it forward to three people? I am part of a wellness MLM company that is changing peoples health and wealth. I am definitely paying it forward. How many stores do you know where you buy products reward you for sharing? Reward you for transforming lives? Look up the true definition of MLM and find an honest company like mine that has a huge heart and rewards its associates like no other.
