I love this scene. I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews of Torchwood series one. It's really, really great television. At least, the first three series are.

What you fail to realize is this program was shown at 21.00 hours when a lot of schoolchildren were watching TV expecting something similar to Doctor Who. The scenes of homosexual activity were not necessary to the plot and were there just to shock or offend or both !

When he said cracks, he was talking about the various visions and illusions Billis was causing to try and goad them into opening the rift. It was a statement of phrase, not a statement of the actual cracks.

I advise any Briton watching this to download it and not show any support. It will be shown in America, Canada and Australia a week before us. There's a little slow down when Ianto sees that Jack was shot. I never thought of that before, but do you think it's a way to show that he's more shocked than the others, since he thinks that he's dead? There's always been something between them two, after all ... And he's the one kneeling next to Jack ...

@jjdthemoviemaker3 They didn't know at that point. I think Gwen has known all along (could be remembering wrong) but I don't think any of the others found out until that moment. So, at the time that happened Owen actually thought he was going to stay dead.

What's with all the Gwen hate? I like her and Jack....And I don't get why people hate on the show for having sex in it; if it didn't it would be way too similar to Doctor Who. Don't hate on Torchwood just becuase its unique, and has its own vibe and perspective. That's what makes it good.

They can't kill Rhys because then the show will lose its sense of reality. If it wasn't for Rhys, the show would be a bunch of sci-fi people doing sci-fi things and never leaving the sci-fi mentality. He's a key part in keeping the show relatable; how relatable, I'm not so sure. Ha.
