Love this song!!! I  love the old Cat and the new Yusuf (Joseph). I admire him even more for leaving the fame, money, women, drugs etc for what he believes in. He's made a come back and without all the glory and fame. Met him in person and must say, a true gentlemen.

The story of Teaser and the Firecat finding the fallen Moon, riding it, & getting it back into the sky, was written by Cat Stevens. The beginning & ending story portions were narrated by Spike Milligan.

The full animation, not by CS, was part of the Fantastic Animation Festival feature film in 1977.

The Moon Shadow is anything you want it to be, but CS, away from his city home of West London for the 1st time, saw his shadow cast by the moon & understandably thought that was pretty cool

I just love this trippy 1970s cartoon. And the song is one of Cat Stevens' best songs. The lyrics are pure classic poetry. I'm not sure, but a 'moonshadow' must be a banshee or another kind of bad luck bringer. Really good stuff. :)
