Hes written high quality lyrics since Montrose, he shreds better than alot of lead guitarists now a days and well Chickenfoot is just an all around perfect band. I dunno the first 6 albums were raw as fuck and I def miss that; thats what made VH, but 5150 was a beast for Ed and the band as a whole. This is coming from someone that was a teenager in the 80's started playing guitar around the 84 album and still want them to do decent shit and not go out in the pile of shit the last few years have been.

@Beerm3 i totally agree with you(just did a bong hit myself) I'm expecting great things from this upcoming album. Supposedly they're resurrecting some unreleased tracks and unused ideas from the early days. Rumor has it that it sounds like classic VH and Ed is playing better than ever. He knows the pressure is on...according to a recent interview with Nuno Bettencourt who ran into Ed in the studio as he was mixing the album.. I'm optimistic this record wont suck. Hope I'm right...
