Guys, I'm russian and I'm totally agree with you. Alpha should't be there - all operators are specnaz veterans, officers and they almost live on the war. it was more then unfair. Is anybody knows, the sponsor invited exactly Alpha or they just sent invitation to all police forces in Russia who finds it interesting?

Russian "police" squad Alpha took 7th place I don't know why there is so much fuzz from russians. Plus since when CSN FSB Alpha is a police squad?

I am aware that they are (well not FSB itself but Alpha is), that is why I am asking about their participation in this competition. Seems as SOBR or OMON would be better candidates than anybody from CSN. With their wealth of experience in actual counter-terrorism operations in Chehcnya (94-96, 99-present) is simply unfair to put them against county SWAT teams don't you think?

they took 7th place according to the super-SWAT website, they were the best among the international teams though, but I'm just wondering why Alpha is even there. they shouldn't be. maybe omon or sobr would be the equivalent. SWAT teams don't normally part take in direct action operations outside the US, unlike Alpha (Afghanistan.Georgia...maybe)
