in fact, playing galaga in the arcade, there is no way to beat it. the score flips once it gets to about 999999.

and being killed adds points. so if you're aiming to get the highest score, you have to die getting your score to be exactly 999999

Player one's score on the arcade machine only has six digits and potentially goes up to 999,999 and then resets. Player 2 has seven digits and will go up to 9,999,9999

I smoke this game without using the glitch. This guy sucks. One the first or second stage you can not kill one of the ellow bees on the left hand lower corner and if you keep him alive and let him pass you 100 times until he stops firing the rest of the bees will not fire the entire game. I don't even need to use this and can roll it 25 times in a row. Everytime I play this game I have to kill myself in the end or I let some little kid take over with like 20 extra men.

In the arcade version of Galaga, the trick works with both the yellow bees AND the Boss Galagas. I used a Boss Galaga the first time I did in 1983. There's no set number of times it has to pass by. Also, you only get a total of 18 ships for the entire game on most arcade machines because after a million points you stop earning new ones. If you're playing the arcade version and you're that good, submit a video as proof of your game to Twin Galaxies. They keep track of video game records.

Yeah, I did contact them and they told me that I'd have to go to a place that had a referee there in order to make it official. I've played this game so many times it's ridiculous. When I posted the 25 million on Verizon Galaga the game did not end at stage 256. I can't recall if the arcade game ends at 256 or not. All in all, I generally just don't die. I don't use any tricks or schemes. I just know where all the bees come out and how to get perfect scores on all of the challenging stages.
