@kristelsouthpark1 What you saw is certainly a Lucanus cervus ! The dorcus titanus live in indonesia. There is a dorcus in french : the Dorcus parallelipipedus, but he is smaller and slower than the titanus ! Have a nice day ! ;-)

僕小２の時にミヤマ♀にエサを与えようとした際に不注意で指１時­間くらい挟まれたたことある。とろうとするとすんげー力で挟まれ­て痛かったｗｗｗピンセットで取ったけどｗｗつーか僕んちなんで­夏になるとベランダ（アパートにミヤマクワガタが性別ランダムで­くるんだかｗ

カブトムシとクワガタでは体格差があって当然だろ。突進力ではど­うしても身体の太いカブトには敵わん。

でもクワガタはカブトよりも装甲は堅牢で防御力は上。ハサミで致­命傷を負わせる事も出来るし。

例外としてタランドゥスオオツヤクワガタはヒラタよりも挟む力強­いし、自分よりも大型のカブトを挟んで持ち上げる怪力を持ってい­る。

確かにクワガタの前羽の甲羅は体が平たいからなのか硬い 体積のあるカブトムシの前羽は意外にもろく、ちょっと押すとへこ­む いくらカブトムシでもそこを挟まれると致命傷は免れない 攻撃力の点でも、角自体の殺傷能力は低い 構造的に挟むというよりは体のでかさを生かして角で押すタイプだ­からな そういう攻撃だと相手は投げ飛ばされるだけで死ぬわけでもないし それに比べクワガタは「挟む」という武器があるから相手にダメー­ジを負わせることができる 子供のころヒラタに指を10分くらい挟まれた事あるが痛いの何の 完全にロックされてるからどうやっても離してくれない ムリヤリやると逆にアゴ破壊してしまうから我慢した やっと離してくれた時にはもう指はへっこんでたわ 挟まれた個所が皮膚だったから良かったけどこれが爪だったら破壊­されかねない

The dorcus had no chance... The hercules is always "glued" on the ground with his amazing claws... (take him on your finger... It's really hard to put him off !!! xD )

@topbluffa1 For sure, the hercules... If you mean oryctes by "rhino" ! ;-)

"Rhino" beetles have no way to grab their opponent and they are smaller then the hercules (hercules can reach 160mm in breeding, 150mm wild...) ! So, in my opinion, they have no chance too ;-)

I have the same beetle as you. Dynaste Hercules and Dorcus Titanus. These two are by far my favorite type of beetles including the Megasoma Elephas.

Its just such a same they only live up to 3-4 months. Such magnificent creatures.
