Horrifyingly enough human cargo was often insured. There are some stories of captains throwing off the sick along with the healthy because they would get more money from insurance than they would sickly slaves.

That bit of awful besides these are very well done and have a more subtle feeling of creepy than most creepypasta. Good work, hope you keep doing more.

I thought this was a really good story, but I actually started to flinch every time you used the word "particularly". I think it'd be good if you tried to avoid repeating words whenever you could to maintain the flow. Other than that, I thought this was really well made. :]

These are amazing. You should try to get ahold of Katy towell who creates the videos "childrin r skary" and see if you could do some narration on some of her videos. Maybe even create a story for her to animate and such, she has a very similar tone to you, she just does animations that go with the story. It would be awesome if you narrated some of her works, or she animated some of yours.

Surely one of your finest tales, right up there with to 'The Fingernails'. I have a great affinity for maritime horror stories, the "nightmares of the sea" as the poet once phrased it, and this was a most satisfying chiller. The real-time, moving visuals and peculiar ambiances in your stories lend themselves superbly to building atmosphere, much more effective than the typical creepypasta trope of the slidehow set to music. I do hope you'll continue to post these Mr Murphy. Excellent stuff!
