@Beastman44 It also has to do with the bikes themselves, they appeal to a very specific audience, even if these things were more like 17-20,000 which would be about right, how many people would buy them? not enough to warrant mass production. So to offset this they raise the price to really high and sell the bike on it's uniqueness and the fact that it's hand made. This compensates also for the expensive of design and testing that goes into development. Road vehicles have to be safe you know.

The film maker really dropped the ball when he/she included the part where the guy is drilling the bike with a hand drill, and obviously having a rough go with it. It kinda killed the mystique of a machine that looks to have been almost completely CNC machined. That and you don't hear a single rev or engine noise in the entire set of videos,; am I wrong or is it about revving the engine and that sweet rumble from the pipes? Video is too sanitary, needs to be grittier...louder...

the frame seat and rear end look really realy cool and i love the wide bars but the front end looks real odd!! like some swede or norwiegen fshaped the forks out of some pine board and painted them to match. a set of telescopics would look a whole lot better to me!

I read a test on a confederate not long ago, must have been Cycle World. Bike 1 blew a motor. Bike 2 had trans problems & the test rider had to reach down & shift by hand. Wich is about what I expected.

thy hve to modfy the chasi to suport the fork. instead of the chasi abve the engne, this 1 is below the engine to suport the old school modified fork, hw i wsh they can try to pull one wheelie or an indo to test the forks strength. nd put a sprt bike engne nt a choper or cruser engne

no proble, I run a webmagazine and web tv dedicated to helmets and bike gear with technical interviews from protagonists of this world, riders, producers etc.

usually I do not talk about bikes but in this case, the object is a masterpiece and stands on a class of its own. like it or not it is a unique bike, maybe the cutting edge of cocking about in customizing, but for this reason love it or hate it.

...and the bike has the coherehce for being produced in (high level few pieces) series.

Great video. You must be a real fan. Chambers is a creative genius. He always knows exactly what he wants. For someone not to see these machines for what they are, you are either ignorant or highly jealous.

People copied Confederate early on and Mat pulled it out , leaving designers worldwide, hamstrung in a wet, dark corner.

Confederate has etched it's place in history as the most forward reaching company. -No matter what Cycle World tried to do to them.
