thank you, but how do you change a string that has a loop on the end, and how to you attach a looped string on the the tail piece that does not have fine tuners?
My A string peg wont stay. it keeps unwinding itself! I even broke the string,(which whipped my face as it snapped), trying to get it to stick. Any suggestions? :/
I don't have fine tuners on my violin, could you possibly give me instructions on stringing it? I don't know if I should buy a ball end or loop end string~
If your peg won't budge, take it to the place where you got it and ask for them to take it out. Then buy some peg compound, which looks like chapstick, and smear it on. It will provide hold but will be easy to move. Then slide the peg back in and put the string on and there you go! Great video btw.
Thanks a lot for this video. Though it may seem very duh to some ppl, but for beginners like me who just got a violin and was careless, this was a great help. Thanks.
ok, well i know how to change strings, but my friend here got a new violin, and he asked me to tune it, but i cant because the pegs wont move, its impossible to move it..... what should i do?
The pegs have probably been pushed in far too hard. Loosen them off with an untwisting anti-clockwise motion, then when re-tightening for tuning, don't push them in as far.
awsooooomeeeeeeeeee, I wish if you could get some steps with more zoom in but I can't whine untill I need to replace one of my strings! I wish you could teach meeee =D
What was the name of that violin tuner you said was your favorite?
thanks
