  • You guys are awesome!!! Way to go! Get rid of the damns! Support all thr groups helping to get rid of old, inefficient damns on the Snake River that prevent tens of thousands of salmon and steelhead from spawning. You can get more information at Trout Unlimited.

  • @Tunedup81 So I guess you must be the back yard biologist because it is fact that Chinook Salmon do spend up to 5 to 6 years in the Ocean before returning to the rivers .

The 5 and 6 year olds are the largest and it was well know the the June Chinook used to be these older fish on the Columbia river .

I remember these June Chinook when I was a kid back in the late 60's and early 70's as the largest of all Columbia Salmon .

  • @Moldovawineimporter lmfao unhuh.. keep on rolling with your beliefs bud. I appreciate the comment back but there's no way in hell any chinook spends 5-6 years in the ocean. 60-70's I might agree with your estimates of size and return. but not age. I've taken and read scales to identify age thousands of times over and never have I seen a 6 year old total in age chinook, from any river run. 4-5 year olds are as old as they get. most are 3-4 year olds.

  • I feel for you guys. I live on the Salmon River. I haven't seen a problem here. Hope you can get it taken care of.
