  • Google is really great. Lots of new things everyday.

  • I like your video!..lots of information..Keep sharing some great ideas :)

  • LMFAO! Cool info, but I thought you were Edward Current when I looked at the thumbnail.

  • thanks ,that was were i am with the content matters and then maby turn on the world ,thanks ,peace

  • hahaa did he get out of jail recently. I am sorry, but it just seems as Googles image increases, Matt Cutts image is decreasing. He looked like a normal guy , giving some tips but now he just looks likes a hobo

  • I think content is not king. i found pages wich have only a 1 line of text with title and the rest only adsense... and are on first page of google search result

  • The answer is, in short, content is not king.

  • You make changes to the Google algorithm everyday? An amazing insight into the evolution rate of Google search change. Also as a stockholder of Google, it is really refreshing to have a company so "open to the public" about their business process, something I have never seen from Apple or Microsoft.

  • then content is still king but links are important as well , it is safe to say that a full synergy of these two parameters will result in better rankings...

  • google wave. on youtube profile/hint/?

    google seach. on youtube profile/hint/?

    ?YouTube/Diso????new?

  • Thanks for another great video, I have literally watched all your videos. I know you said in a video the best way to contact you was by leaving a comment. So I have a question I hope you will answer and thank you in advance.

If you link to a website using nofollow and that website links back not using nofollow, is the link to your website seen as a reciprocal link and therefore devalued by Google?

  • Thanks Matt, maybe not for the purpose of this clip but in my mind content will always be king! Content gives your site depth and structure and secondly it give people a reason to return. It is only one small aspect of SEO I agree but try to build SEO on a site without content. My 2c :-)

  • Note that Matt doesn't say "Yes, content is still King". He says "content is... (slight pause) necessary". So I'll take that as a no :)

  • and the endc 2001 new chages this ? wth PR sites no ?

  • Matt teaches once again: Google is not a god, first common sense, second optimization; create your unique, relevant content and after that do your SEO effort.

(you have budget? hire SEO from beginning ;)

    Tnx Matt

  • 1:14 "People have to find out about your content" read: you need inbound links to your site.

1:21 "getting the authority" read: you need good inbound links from sites with PR

1:24 "find some hook" read: optimize your pages in silos so when people search for something, you have a *perfect* page that matches

1:33 "if you don't have good content..." read: Inbound links to the site still carry weight. If you don't have the content, you'll need to make up for it in links."

  • Matt, the gain on this recording is way too low, you can't hear it in headphones with any sort of clarity. You would need a super amplified powered speaker to make this heard. Perhaps worth reposting this with higher sound? Thanks!

  • So content is queen then? heir?

  • Thanks matt for this video ;)
