I for one, believe in God and that prayers work. Brooks&Dunn, along with a majority of their fan base, are likely to be Christian. It's too bad. They started with an internal monologue, coping with the utter inefficacy of prayer. They could have even explored themes of questioning cherished beliefs. I think it would have been a much more unique and meaningful song had they stuck with those ideas.

What Brooks and DUnn are saying is that God hears those prayers. He's busy answering prayers. The only prayers he doesn't answer is bringing the girl back to his life. I believe this song has many different translations and that you've described one here beautifully. I think you can also take it as they've been praying so hard for so long and they feel as if they are not being given an answer. Yet, one must remember that God's voice is sometimes very small and quiet. God always holds us and He answers every prayer. Sometimes the answer is "wait" and it's the hardest one to get. First off wonderful job on the video, and second, god does not answer all prayers, but that doesn't mean he doesn't love you. He's a loving and caring god and is only going to give you as much as you can handle, just because he doesn't answer your prayers doesn't mean he doesn't love you, he just has a better plan, it's his will, he has everything under control.

I believe this song has many different translations and that you've described one here beautifully. I think you can also take it as they've been praying so hard for so long and they feel as if they are not being given an answer. Yet, one must remember that God's voice is sometimes very small and quiet. God always holds us and He answers every prayer. Sometimes the answer is "wait" and it's the hardest one to get. Stay strong. :)

God isn't busy. Everything is going according to plan. There just aren't as many people praying these days. God has blessed my life. I don't see hate and pain and suffering ever. I know its there but the lord blinds me from it. I pray for others but I'm just one man. We need to all pray and love eachother and help those in need. There is a lot of things God considers to be evil that we don't even think of. He said all sin is the same, but with life He gave us freedom to do with it as we please. If God stopped us from doing everything that is evil, things that we think are fun and harmless, then we would be nothing but puppets on a string, what kind of a life would that be. God gave us the laws, and we either choose to follow them or not. If we don't then we and others will suffer the consequences of our actions.

But when Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowlege of good and evil, they allowed sin into them which would pass through to their children, man gave the world to Satan condemning us all, and all men would die. That is the reason Jesus was sent, to give us a chance. The world is unjust to everyone, don't complain.

We make choices that affect our life. God intervenes in the life of those who have accepted his free gift of salvation by simply trusting in what He (Jesus) did on the cross and asking Him to save them. At times, we are suffering the consequences of bad choices we made. At other times God is simply testing us as he did Job. If we are right with God (saved and right with Him) He hears and answers our prayers. The answer just is not always yes.

god doesnt choose the path you take he just gives you the materials in order to take the right path.if you pray hard enough for something it will eventually happen. as long as you believe in him you will find the right path if you look hard enough. i should know i am 13 i have cancer in and on my uterus i prayed that it wouldnt be serious and that i wld be able to have kids when i grow up i want to give birth to my own children. ..If your god is busy, he isnt OMNIPOTENT! That means, he isnt a god. Ofcourse I dont believe Jesus died for my sins, since god put those so called sins upon us in the first place! It's like being accused of murder by a judge although you didnt do anything, and then the judge executes someone else so you can go free! How ridiculous! And the burden of proof for the existance of god is on you, not on me! I also cant prove the existance of pixies, and yes, that is the same thing as your god.

I didn't say anything on the proof I just said you couldn't prove he doesn't exist Which you can't just like I can't prove he exists It's just believing in something And if you don't believe in any thing you are a sad person And how can God put those sins on us we must take the consiquenses of our actions not blame them on something else and God is omnipotent he just doesn't but in when he knows he is unwanted He is someone who comes to you when you call you can talk to him he doesnt take credit
